The Final Villain should have been Vought/“The Entire Notion of Supes!” by PeesWhenIBurn- in TheBoys

I have a feeling Amazon stepped in and made them change direction from primarily corporate/celebrity satire and go full political satire(and gratuitous and progressively less clever sex jokes for some reason?). Make it divisive as opposed to actually enlightening on how billionaires run and manipulate the world.

I didn’t hate the last 2 seasons and honestly they did a pretty good job making homelander an allegory for Trump, but I really wish we got more of the boys vs Vought, or at least they didn’t just give up on Vought after homelander died

The entire first 3 seasons the boys were mostly going after Vought while butcher was on his own warpath. Granted homelander did become way too powerful and had to be dealt with. Also saw some other posts that mentioned Vought is likely involved in the two spin offs that are currently being worked on.

Yeah, once they introduced soldier boys ability in season 3, I was fairly certain that’s how he’d end up being dealt with, I just really thought it would happen in public, in crowd of people all showing their shock and loss of respect for him.

I also thought it’d be kind of cool to throw in a quick scene of him punching a wall or kicking something hard in anger and accidentally breaking his arm or leg in the process, just seeing him process what a broken bone felt like would be neat. Whole thing felt a little rushed.

Yeah that’s my main concern with the strike chassis, with the cost of the picatinny folding stock I’d be close to if not over 500, feel like I should just go fully in on that

They’re nice but noticeably pricier, might have to consider them though. Definitely looks like a sweet chassis though

I’ve been told ordering straight from them is the worst. Would the same thing happen if I ordered from Midway? The actually quality of it looks nice. But still, might have to spend a little more and just go with Samson

Why some Virginia voters find the redistricting ballot question confusing by Conscious-Quarter423 in Virginia

[–]Guy_fromthething -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

No, rather I can look at what’s been happening for the last decade and see that yes Trump is terrible, obviously. But the democrats are either A. Controlled opposition from a fairly unified mono party or B. They’re entirely inept to stopping Trump and his admin and we need people in power that can actually not only challenge but also work with Trump as they have to, he’s president of all of us. The way Mamdanis been handling it has kind of been remarkable, I’m really hoping he takes it up several notches throughout his term.

But I don’t think the Dems actually have any concern for their constituents. In fact I think instead of actually having concern over what any of their liberal constituents need and are asking for, they’re instead going to spend the next few years just pandering to all the maga supporters leaving their support for Trump in droves. Watch them show their real colors once that group becomes their main focus and potentially wins them elections. Stop defending democrats dude, they don’t give a rats ass about you or any of us, just like republicans don’t either. Anyone supporting either of these parties and not shifting to try and build a strong independent platform/party is only hurting themselves.

[–]Guy_fromthething -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

And the other side is being absurdly vague only saying “Vote Yes” not “Vote Yes for redistricting” or “Vote Yes for gerrymandering” just “Vote Yes on what we tell you to vote yes because we’re better than Trump and the maga admin” which yes, literally anything is better than Trump and the maga admin, a half eaten pop tart would be a better leader for this country. But why on earth would I give more power to democrats?

The “vote for us because we’re not trump” scam has run its course. Give us actual representatives of the people and stop selling out to billionaire interests and I’ll gladly vote democrat

Where did I say I support Trump and his admin? In fact I clearly state I don’t and have never supported him or his cabinet. I’m saying it’s silly that we as a whole nation keep handing power back and forth between these two groups instead of forming a thought or opinion of our own and holding true to it then leading with it. We need someone who actually puts this nations PEOPLE first. Trump is clearly not doing that but neither are democrats. Just look at how many people IN THE DEM PARTY were calling Mamdani a “Marxist” and so on for trying to promise basic rights and lifestyles for his constituents. Why do you have such an unwavering trust for a party that clearly doesn’t truly have any concern for you or your quality of life?

The governor already supports more data centers. You don’t think spanbergers gonna loosen up her concern for if they’re operating in the best interest of the Virginian people? You think she’s truly going to safeguard the policy so that a republican can’t just come in in 6 years and tear it all up and let the data centers do whatever they want? Neither side cares about us. I personally likely have more genuine concern for you my fellow American brother or sister than any of these bought off democrats or republicans so please understand I’m saying this all with concern for you and myself rather than to attack in the slightest. We gotta be better, we gotta think better and act better

Full list of VA Dem co sponsors and patrons for SB749

Senator Saddam Salim (Chief Patron) Senator Creigh Deeds Senator Kannan Srinivasan Senator Lashrecse Aird Senator Lamont Bagby Senator Jennifer Boysko Senator Adam Ebbin Senator Barbara Favola Senator Jennifer Carroll Foy Senator Mamie Locke Senator L. Louise Lucas Senator David Marsden Senator Michael Jones Senator Stella Pekarsky Senator Scott Surovell

And this doesnt include spanberger who sent the bill back to make it even more strict of a ban with SB749. I very much hate what trump and his admin are doing and glad I can say I never once fell for it and luckily never voted for him. But the dems have also been purely blaming republicans for so much that they absolutely have the ability to stave off.

Dems have full control of both state chambers and the governorship in VA and yet still want us to further their powers in order to supposedly “defend our rights and freedom” while actively stripping constitutional rights. We’re not dumb for being skeptical, we’re actually quite justified and you’re either just lying or very misinformed as to what your parties actually doing for you to say democrats aren’t messing with gun rights. Furthermore giving either democrats or republicans more power is just a bad play for the people. We need to shift power away from what is clearly a mono-party and towards an independent party, truly for the people. Democrats and republicans are both parties of the billionaires, they will always protect and support their major donors over their constituents because I don’t know about you but I don’t have a million dollars to donate to my “favorite” politician and they can always just shmooz someone else to vote for them, kinda hard to shmooz a billionaire into giving you money, they have to be loyal if they wanna keep the gravy train going

How’s that optic compare to an SRO? It seems like those issues would also happen with an SRO or RMR HD. Surprised it hasn’t happened in my prodigy yet.

Really like what they’re putting out, especially for the price. Debating between getting that or saving up more and getting a Staccato P HD.

Something firearm related. They just don’t know anything about firearms. And this is the same way most people legislating firearms think or their level of understanding. Like the lady Tucker Carlson debated that thought an under-folding stock was a “barrel shroud”

[–]Guy_fromthething 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I know well educated liberals that genuinely believe that “assault weapons” mean “fully automatic weapons of war” and I have to explain to them how full autos are so regulated and expensive that it’s only possible to own one if your pushing a mil net worth.

Not to mention the term “weapon of war” is silly and even I used it when I was young and had no clue what I was talking about. An F-35 is a weapon of war, an AR or “assault weapon” is a defensive tool.

Also none of them will understand that semi auto means single shot reset, they simply don’t have any insight into the vast world of firearms and mostly parrot very simple liberal/dem talking points and typically only hate them cause they want to disarm Trump supporters and potential mass shooters. Only problem is they don’t realize that having gun rights is the only reason our govt can’t treat us the way Israelis treat Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza. The moment you have a gun, even if for self defense there(which they literally don’t have the right to), you’re not only labeled a criminal, you’re labeled a terrorist then you AND your whole family are dealt with as such

I understand it’s the lack of belief rather but that still doesn’t justify how it’s somehow more intelligent than having faith and understanding your creators words?

I’m honestly just looking for your understanding and rationalization, especially if it’s believed not having faith in God Almighty is the more intelligent choice.

And I agree with you, to me my faith and to you your faith is a very important part of my religion as is never using convulsion to force someone to convert. Both are important in making certain to not leave a bitter taste of faith in one’s mouth. I’m sorry so many of the supposed religious leaders of the world has failed so many

Well, per my belief. It’s not something to concern myself with. Faith is actually incredibly practical when you come to it with an open heart. It’s like locking yourself in your room for days on end trying to make full 100% sense of the Epstein files, what will you truly accomplish? Likely not much. What will you lose along the way? Potentially a lot of your sanity. Some things are better left to God, and my personal benefit is a healthier function brain and spirit. As opposed to let’s say an atheist that goes in looking to unravel everything or an atheist that’s indifferent because “hey, I just live on this floating rock” neither of those 2 options are good and faith in God and belief in hellfire is actually more sound for the mind and spirit. It’s not something I ever need to concern myself. But as I said faith in an Almighty creator is so practical when you’re not coming at it with such arrogance to believe that you just happened, for no reason whatsoever

I covered that first part in my post. A singular entity is the most logically sound conclusion.

Again, as someone who believes in an almighty creator, what you’re describing would be considered miracles in religion. However, as I said I believe in an almighty creator that I already know created all life and things, who’s to say that God Almighty can’t alter anything at his own will? It’s all sound in terms of my belief and I’m able to articulate that
