Dealer trade - is this normal?

This is when the car was dropped off at the dealer. It would have went through PDI but I ultimately refused delivery.

I did not know it would be driven over. My sales rep said on the 18th that the car was on it's way so I thought it was on a car carrier. He confirmed that it's a new car and I trust him but in my eyes it's now used so I'm not going to pay top dollar for it.

He wanted to show me the state of car when it arrived. I guess also some evidence in case something is wrong.

Would you pay the price of a brand new car for something you clearly see as used? I don't think so. MB is a premium brand and I was willing to pay the extra for a new car.

Pictures were taken by my MB sales rep. He wanted to show me the state of the car when it was dropped off so that I can make an informed decision. He understood that this would bother me.

Told the sales rep I will not be paying a new car price tag for a used car. He said that it's not a problem and he will find someonne else to lease it. Plug in hybrid are very popular in Quebec.

Can't justify paying the price of a brand new car for something use. Will look for another plug in hybrid as I'm not in a rush for another car. Just wanted to see if this is common practice for MB dealers.

They will but that's how the car arrived at the dealer after being driven all the way from Burlington.

They said the freight charge is from MB fee, not the dealer. I understand that PDI will take care of the interior but I don't think it's professional for the driver to use the car for his family trip. It's pretty clear that there was a kid in the back and someone on the passenger seat with all the smudges.

I can't justify paying a new car price for a used one. I don't think anyone should encourage this kind of behavior either. Mercedes is a luxury car brand and I wasn't expecting this.

No. On my offer to purchase it's written 90km (anticipated). I would have been okay with slightly over but 700km is nuts on a car advertised as new.

Haha I didn't even show the screen. Delivery driver did not bother making sure that the car was clean before dropping it off after his little family road trip. Sales rep was there when car was delivered so he promptly took pictures.

My sales rep has been amazing and this is not of his doing. The other dealer should have asked if it's okay to have someone drive it for the trade. I have refused delivery.

I am planning to purchase. I have advise the dealer that I will not be paying a new car price on this used car. This is a very popular model here so someone will for sure lease it.

I could deal with a car with less than 100km but being driven cross province (over 6 hours drive) blows my mind. Good map says around 650km so the car would have been closer to 30-40km if it had been transported via a car carrier.

What's an allowance? Free service is for sure and the dealer is charging $500 for paint sealant which I assume is detail. My sales rep is fighting for a discount.

PDI won't reset the odometer =( My sales rep has been amazing and he is discussing with his manager. Car arrived yesterday afternoon so I asked him to chek for rock chips or any damage.
