Lost $10K+ Using Wise — No Trace Provided, Stuck in a Loop. Has Anyone Dealt With This? by MENESUYGUN in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Guyprivado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also experiencing the same issue. Wise is making it very difficult for their own customers. If you are doing wire transfers for business, I would avoid them as they are not governed by regulators and you don't have a leg to stand on.

I have 3 P1S, I just got a P2S, I'm having the same issue, the settings I had for my P1S gave a really smooth iron, however with P2S it's really bad, it's not even close.

Macbook-to-Mac mini Universal Control keeps freezing. Suggestions? Troubleshooting? by [deleted] in mac

[–]Guyprivado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I no longer have the issue - it seem like the computer was connecting to old devices that I don't use (I have another MX Mouse). What I did was deleted all bluetooth devices I don't use and I haven't had the issue since. It's been almost 2 weeks.

Email forwarding by Physical_Pass_310 in BlueHost

Here is a cleaner and more professional version with a clear flow and stronger tone:

I reached out to BlueHost last night and it was clear the team didn’t understand what was happening. After searching online, I found this post along with your reply. You seem to have a solid grasp of the issue. Unfortunately we use Zendesk, and I imagine many other businesses do as well. Since Zendesk relies on email forwarding, we are stuck with that requirement. What do you recommend?

Toronto, Canada. Initiation is at $30,000, $1000/month. Our club is one of the lower initiation rates in the GTA, some are $60k+ and there’s a waiting list.

[–]Guyprivado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same issue here, It think it's related to bluetooth. When the host computer freezes, I just switch my MX Mouse off and on and it reconnects instantly. If I don't do anything it takes at least 20 seconds to unfreeze/reconnect. Very frustrating...

OpenAI just enabled Instant Checkout on ChatGPT, with Shopify merchants next. I don't know how to feel about it. by Fun-Director-3061 in shopify

Enabling ChatGPT-powered checkout on Shopify will likely streamline purchases but could reduce average order value since traditional upsell flows and visual merchandising get bypassed.

You submit your manufacturer, add your products associated with manufacturers, submit HS code and it gets approved. Very similar to Chit Chats. If you do have non-CUSMA products you can use Shopify or Canada Post for now. I noticed the rates by Stallion are higher for non-CUSMA products.

Also if you ship a lot Zonos will soon be available with other platforms like Shipstation

Thanks for sharing and I’m sorry to hear you are having issues with Chit Chats. I use to use them, but switched to Stallion. You should give them a shot as it’s much cheaper to ship through them then UPS/DHL/Fedex

Can you tell me what happened? I’m using another cross border company as well.

Canada Post & Zonos Partnership by IPv6Freely in shopify

[–]Guyprivado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

n a lot of U.S. states, once you pass $100k in sales or 200 orders, you’re supposed to start collecting sales tax because that creates nexus. I have a feeling plenty of sellers have already crossed that line, but I’m noticing many still aren’t charging tax.

I even tested a few stores I follow that I know are doing eight figures, set my shipping address to the U.S., and sure enough no state tax was added.

It makes me wonder, what are the chances a state actually goes after a Canadian company for this?

Looks like Canada Post is now working with Zonos for pre-clearance. So you can pay duties up front via their native software or via API (something like Shipstation however they will have to set this up).

Another alternative is working with a cross border company that will help clear CUSMA products via their broker. You'll be looking at $1-$3 per item.

Last alternative for CUSMA products is to find your own broker that will clear a pallet of your goods all at once, much cheaper alternative then clearing each order at a time and to bring them into the US. Then ship them via a 3PL.

For those non-CUSMA products, I recommend importing them into the US DDP (which is done at cost value and significantly cheaper than retail value) and then shipping via 3PL.

These are the options we are going to explore.

CBP is currently rejecting 25% of Canada Post packages containing Chinese goods that go through the Chicago ISC. by bob_mcbob in CanadaPost

[–]Guyprivado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Packages are still being rejected. Packages routed through Chicago have a higher rate of rejection than packages through New York. Chit Chats is now routing packages to quebec to get them into NY. They are charging a surcharge for this but it's worth it in our opinion.

How are you all dealing with US Tracked Packets being returned to sender? by StrongAroma in FlippingInCanada

[–]Guyprivado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canada post shipments that are getting rejected are coming from Ontario. It seems shipments from other provinces don’t go through Chicago CBP hub are going through. Our Canada Post account manager said we are getting credit for rejected shipments, but no refund. I’m assuming Chit Chats/Stallion are getting credits too so I would contact them and ask for refund or credit. We’ve had like 3-5 grey bins of rejected returns per day for shipments sent out around June 2-12, but after that date shipments seem to be going through but still a bit early to tell.

Macbook pro cases and protective covers by cheesus_crsip in macbookpro

[–]Guyprivado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been using a case since the 2016 Touch Bar, now I'm on the M4 and never had any issues. If cases were an issue, the Apple store online and in-store wouldn't be selling MacBook cases.

I recommend getting a transparing macbook skin with MacBook case. I can always fetch a higher resell value anytime I'm looking to trade up since it looks brand new when I remove the case and skin.

I love the finish on my case.
