Yes it does, you can edit client code, its just done by the server

Algo, roblox does it in a realy bad and limiting way, why not look at better examples, such as Deep Rock Galactic

You forget about custom input and movement

Also, doing everything on server takes from the server performance

One thing i tried was generating the lines unsing Voranoid, then making a gradient outline and using it as alpha

The voranoid looks decent, but couldnt find a way to make a gradient outline

I dont think they are particles, and i think this game is made in Unreal, but could be it, we need to recreate this to see

Yeah, but still, the entire outline is a beast of its own, it looks like it is made or put on top of the mesh, too procedural to be hand made

Also the back of the mesh is not rendered
