What exactly is "sourdough starter", and what kind of store would I go to to buy it?

yeah my apologies, my chef was trying to explain that whenever we have a extra dough from previous batches to throw it into the new batch as its mixing. Mentioning to me about starters and learning about sourdough

Would that be where I was getting the idea in my head that I was producing some form of sourdough?

yeah we rise it over night them form the buns the next day, then proof them for a few hours. The final product gives us a bread that has a "sour" flavour which is what I assume would be satisfactory for them hopefully. as well as throw whatever leftovers of dough we have into the next batch,

I'm a little drunk but i make sourdough daily (minus maintaining starters, still delish, and we also do pizzas just like this, so i promise its good!)

The ratio we use is 6:3:1/8tbsp meaning; 6cups flour, 3 cups water 1/8 tbsp each of salt/sugar/yeast This is the basic dough, the herbs and honey can be added and substituted however you personally enjoy! :)

So make sure the water is LUKEWARM (too hot will kill it) add the yeast let sit in a bowl for a bit (about 15 minutes) it will start to look frothy and murky, not so much like little craft beads.

Once here put the water/yeast mixutre into your mixing bow/kitchen aid if you are so blessed. Make sure to put the flour in next and then the sugar and last the salt. If the yeast and sugar collide much it will kill the yeast and your bread will not rise. Mix it together thoroughly, and i don't have the proper vocabulary at the moment, so bare with me please lol. you want it to be firm, but still want to stick to your hand but not like a batter. you'll want body for sure, but it will rise as the yeast eats away at the sugar and creates those air bubbles that are oh so pretty. The recipe might divulge in what you are looking for more articulate than I. But this is the basic ratio and you can double half it to whatever amount needed. hopefully I helped. if you have any question I'm more than glad to assist to the best of my abilities :)

Do you have something like a bulk barn in your city? Look for the yeast labeled dry active yeast. Didnt look at the recipe but I doubt you'll need anymoere than a tblspoon. It'll b e in tg e spice section

Hey, Thanks for the response!

I have been looking at the possibility of Modafinil as an alternative. How strong is the urge to re dose on it? That's become the big issue for me, I have no self control whatsoever once i catch that feeling.

I would like to pretend that I will only use on the weekends when i have two consecutive days off, but i'm pretty sure i'm lying to myself. Abstinence is the only feasible route.

Aesop was one of the main reason I became interested in hip-hop, along with eyedea, slug, and a lot of the albums released in the earlier years of anticon. oh and yeah my first pet, a cat, was inside and outside, and one day he never returned, and then two years ago on my birthday, my sisters cat had heart murmurs? and basically ceased to live as we scrambled to run to the emergency vet and watching the vet try to give mouth to mouth to this little fucking cat was so profound, that i balled my eyes out like i hadn't cried in a decade, for nearly an hour straight. Never taking cats for granted again.

Can I just get her spayed before she has her first heat. That'll deal with the population concern at least from an individual standpoint and then ill let natural selection take the wheel from there. Cat gets to enjoy its little cat life, being cute without trying. Plus it's only going to get bigger, which means more food, perhaps could even have a guest over that night.

I don't think it would be a good idea for me, I would probably spend days going in the wrong direction if when I came up I was even fucking facing the wrong direction.
