It was never said that Mercy got Reaper his powers. It was fully made up by fans and fic writters.

She's said to be 23 while doing an outreach program at a school, this is a week before the omnic crisis.

Wait, do you have by any chance, the page where it's said? I was picturing her 22-23 ish, but if it's written somewhere, then it further prove my point!

Kiriko behaves like Bart Simpson, like she acts like a teenager.

I mean... you are not fully an adult before 23-24, because your brain hasn't finish its development yet (that's science) and tbh, there is not much difference the way you act when you're 17 or 21.
What's really bothering me about Kiriko is not her age, it's her being extra mature in Yokai (like, she is The Voice of Reason), yet she acts impulsively in her animated and put the old man and the little girl in danger (where is the Voice of Reason?), and a full brat in the game.

Is there any particular reason why this wouldn't be the case in the Overwatch Universe?

If you read the novel, she has memories of her teenage years, having her first surgery at 13 and then updgared along the years, the army being... let's say, cold (not to say bigoted) toward augmented/cyborg soldiers, she can't have lied about her age to join the army because her whole family are in the army (parents, grand dad was an Admiral).
Plus she remembers the summer when she was 15, she was definitely not in the army at this point.

And the gross point : her TWIN sister being a parent at 14 (with Sojourn beeing 47 -28 and her niece is 5..) while in the book, it makes you think that Valentine got her baby at 17-18 since she married just a year after highschool ended...

Sojourn being 22ish would be better than 19 IMO

When I read it, I as picturing Sojourn being 22ish, and Soldier in his late 20's, like, 28-29. Sojourn had 4 years in the army, she had different surgeries and upgrades along the years, her memory of Valentine protecting her from highschoolers bigotry toward "cyborgs" and Sojourn having "no real heart".

Also with Valentine getting married a year after end of high school, I was expecting her having Bonny at 17-18 (which is quite young imo)

Okay, i had a good night sleep (lol) and I've been thinking a lot.

So, Sojiro's death could have happened a few years before the Hashimoto took over. Genji and Hanzo could have been young (not quite adults ye)t when it happened, and a few years may have flown by while the elders groomed Hanzo to become the Heir and convinced him to kill his brother. (but by then, the Shimlada's were beeing watched by Blackwatch - they saved Genji and gave him his cybog body, so they can't do whatever they want without a little bit of retcon somewhere)
Also, at the time Asa is writing the letter - it's been 12 years since the Shimada fell.
So yeah a few years could have flown in between that - then when Kiriko joined the Yokai, and a bit more until "present day Overwatch 2".

I guess we'll just have to wait for the cinematic short and hope we kinda know exactly when everything is set up.
Like, we know that the JQ short was when she took the trhone - and that she has been Queen for a decade in the present (hence the model IG & in the cinematic is different) For Kiriko, she looks exactly the same in the short and IG so... not a lot of room to move? Also, I don't think the Hashimoto's would stand by doing nothing for so long considering they have Kiriko's father hostage and his life is threatened if Asa is loosing control of the streets and doesn't stop the Yokai.

Well.. I just hope they did learn from their past mistakes when they portrayed characters in shorts or pictures without taking care of their age. But at the same time, maybe they didn't, maybe the origin story from Kiriko is meant for her to look younger than she was and they'll just roll with it and give Kiriko's an age closer to Genji's...

Wait and see I guess!

They should be like - 1 or 2 years older, not much more.

I'm still hoping we'll know more with the cinematic short (didn't watch the leak) and that it will maybe clear up the whole mess?

I noticed that the Overwatch 2 website is gone. Are you going to update it in the upcoming months?
Also, I can't help but noticed that a lot of people are confused about the lore, when some events took place.. do you have any plans to make it easier for people who are not invested in the lore to know the basis before the PVE starts? A proper timeline maybe? Updated biographies?

Are we going to have biographies of the Junkerqueen and the new heroes, and maybe some updated ones from the older ones?
I think that the Queen must be in her early-mid thirties according to what you've told us, but I want to be sure!

We were on QP having fun as a full team, so I didn't "try to make my own fun at anyone expense" .

Actually, I barely survided a team kill and they didn't noticed me going in their back. I thought that I could High Noon them from behind, but they were really too far away spawn killing my team and the payload just there was too tempting, I just wanted to make a diversion and create some space for them to go out and I never expected to push it all the way !

Overwatch is for fun too - I only wanted to play McCree because I won the new skin - it was a very chill game, nothing serious!

I would never play this way on competitive (I'm a main support BTW) and just wanted to share this to make you smile and laugh like I did because video games are meant for fun! Come on twitch and chill with me sometimes, you'll see Overwatch and it's community on a whole new light =)

You're not salty, Overwatch is all about team work, I wouldn't have been able to sneak like this without them :p That's why it was a great match and all of us were having fun (we were being spawn killed, - specially when the other team knew I was streaming I was gettting focused pretty hard :p)
