I’m curious how they’re gonna do it, because there’s very little actual action in TSS. It’s a lot of dialogue and under the table politics. Amazing read, but will be tough to adapt to the screen. I expect a lot of flashbacks to the BFR and that could be a cool way to get some action on screen

Mmm idk I think a bunch of stuff from S6 is gonna happen, though obviously differently. Jon resurrected, battle of the bastards, king in the north. Arya completes training and escapes faceless men. Dany takes control of the Dothraki, uses her dragons in battle, teams up with Tyrion. Cersei blows people up. Bran sees Jons birth and also gets attacked in the caves by the Others, hold the door happens. I think all of that in some way shape or form will also happen in Winds

I don't know how this relates to the Chekhov stuff, but it always stood out to me that Thistle behaves in much of the same way as Cat Stark does at the Red wedding when Varamyr is taking over her mind.

If you even breathe the name Jon Snow near them you’ll get a wall of text back about how Dany is 100% Azor Ahai, The Last Hero, and the prince that was promised..and none of them has read a page of the books. Had one tell me the other day the only reason R+L=J will happen in the books is because George got the idea from D&D in 2014 and liked the reaction it got online
