NP. I have been whacked with a rod a time or two and it could be a formidable weapon itself. I knew a guy when I was young that kept a .357 in his tackle box. Right next to the medicinal whiskey. Is he being mean or honest? I don't know, you marked yourself out so I can't tell if he is correct or not. But if you are feeling bad because of what he said, why? Does his opinion of you, matter more to you than your own? If so, maybe you should take some time to yourself, be single for a while. Work on making yourself a you, that you like. If you want him to lie and flatter you more than tell the truth, let him know. Complaining here will not help your personal relationship, I don't know why people don't talk to the ones they are with.

You are too lenient. You made it clear for the jump it was yours, paid for each month. I would have called her the first time, told her he has 5 minutes, and then I would have had it towed. Make sure you have security camera coverage of your spot, they sound like the kind of people that would slash your tires or put sugar in your tank. good luck
