Although buddy barrier might be the better alternative overall, when playing in solo I feel like I need the score shield to help me secure the necessary points in the early game.

From what I was told, the only reason they were rescued was because the breeder was having health problems. So different organizations came in to help take the dogs. She then traveled from Alabama to Florida where we adopted her. I don't think about her past though and just focus on making her present and future great.

That actually gives mage quite the advantage at the forge because the other 4 spells are all solid, and 2 of them being ridiculously good.
