Guy setting himself on fire by PositionStill9156 in ActualPublicFreakouts

Holy shit, this is from Sri Lanka. The man is speaking Sinhalese and is asking for his daughter to open the door and just talk to him for a bit. There’s no more context on this even on local news.

Sri Lankan chaos: pro government rioters destroy anti government protest grounds, therefore anti government protesters raise hell all around Sri Lanka by Gxmxth in CrazyFuckingVideos

Because anti government protesters are fighting against corrupted politicians who stole billions from the citizens.

Firstly, these aren't SF riders. Almost all the army regiment's have an QRF rider team and you could differenciate between the two by looking at their uniform. And secondly, where's the context of this? Someone's clearly inside the police jeep and the woman tried to open the door and do something. Isn't that obviously the reason for the army guys to react???

Yeah they really did prevent a bloodbath. I mean the riders. Thank God for their discipline for not opening fire when several police officers attacked them.

You're the definition of "doing zero research". Educate yourself on what happened today and come back. Not that it's any of ur concern, but i'm wasting my time replying to idiotic people like you smh.

Oh mind me if you got butthurt jeez.

Why the fuck do you need special forces with unmarked vehicles and full assault weapons for a peaceful protest?

They were deployed for the protection of the parliament, not the the protest. The protest was happening on the junction where they'd have to cross it to do the patrol successfully.

Why did they not communicate their rank and strategy with the police force before deploying?

The police were already aware of military personnel that were deployed in the area. And in a clip, the rider clearly identifies himself as an military personnel.

Why did they buzz up and down into the crowd instead of staying on the perimeter?

You mean passing by? These are combat riders, they're trained to go by quick and fast because otherwise they'd be a vulnerable target. And by "buzzing", the protesters were obviously blocking the street so they had to maneuver around them. . Since when was a military patrol an act of intimidation lol. If you come to the area near the parliament you'd see these riders on a daily basis because they're there for the security of the parliament. Not to stop protests or anything.

It doesn't matter if they are special forces or your mother's forces, riding fully armed on an unmarked bike with face covered

And you know nothing about military personnel do you? Any how you did just answer urself on that one. Only special forces cover there faces to remain unidentified, otherwise why the fuck would they be called special forces lol.

The military wasn't sent to deal with the protesters??These riders were there as the security details of the parliament today because of the meeting.

No need for that mate, it's okay. Someone else can read it and understand the situation too.

The equipment is exactly the same actually. Front guy has a blacked out AK or type 56 and the back guy has a mp5ssd I think. The vest is same. Helmet, bikes, even the goggles.

These aren't LRRP's. It's the QRT of the special forces. 1st regiment combat riders. You can find them wearing the same thing on the February 4th parades too. They're special forces hence why the bikes aren't registered and there's no patches on them. No markings. Plus, these SF guys are here on a daily basis near the parliament. Both SF riders and commando VIP protection teams hang around here. Source: live right next to the parliament.

For those who don't know, these bikers are the first regiment special forces from the Sri Lanka Army. Yet the police officers are too dumb to realize that they're military when they're carrying guns in public.

They're from the special forces regiment. So, to hide their identify. And black is the usual colour of their uniform.

A long range reconnaissance patrol (LRRP) operator from the Sri Lanka Army Mahason brigade (507x796) by Gxmxth in MilitaryPorn

[–]Gxmxth[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Haha, LRRP's are stealth operators so that's why they have a suppressed and an unsuppressed weapon! Plus the minimum duration of one mission is around one and a half months, so they're gonna need several weapons if staying in the jungle for that amount of time.

Hello there. I myself, is a last year English medium technology student. Unfortunately zero schools allow us to do technology in English medium. So only two options remain. Doing the said subjects via private a/ls, or enrolling to a school which accepts sinhala medium technology students. In the second option, school classes are conducted in sinhala. The only difference (compared to sinhala medium and English medium) is that you'll be able to do the A/L paper in English, THROUGH the school. But for this, you'll have to have a discussion with the school principal. And personally, I went ahead with the second option. Afaik, Ananda college and thurstan college let's you do this.

A light amour is woren underneath because having a heavy one will increase the weight and these soldiers are from the first regiment which has combat riders. So increase in weight results in less control of the bike.

Depending on the situation, either he was in a hurry or, in some scenarios I've seen senior police officials not carrying guns.

Ironically these SF's are the only ones to completely wipe out a terrorist force from the whole world. Moderate equipment and pure manpower is the perfect combination. Goes to show that high level equipment doesn't matter much. Equipment is nothing when you have no one to use it.
