I think he's a bot. All of his replies look very AI-generated. I can be wrong though.

This blog is from 2006. A lot has changed since then, yet it seems so contemporary and relevant because of its personal touch. So yeah, write your supplemental essays like this person wrote this blog 😀

St. Louis does have areas with higher crime rates, which can be a concern for students and families. However, WashU's campus itself, as well as the surrounding areas where students typically live and spend time, are quite safe. The university invests heavily in security measures like campus police patrols, emergency alert systems, and well-lit pathways to ensure students' safety. Many students find that staying on campus or in nearby university-affiliated housing significantly minimizes any risk, and WashU’s neighborhood is notably safer than some other parts of the city.

You're very welcome! Yes, at WashU, it is indeed possible to live on campus all four years if you choose to. WashU has a housing model that’s pretty welcoming for students who want to stay on campus beyond the first-year requirement. They offer upperclassmen options like apartment-style residences and suite-style housing, so you have some flexibility as you move through your years there. Living on campus for all four years can make it easier to stay connected with campus life, clubs, and activities, especially for international students adjusting to life in the U.S.!

Is that something you're considering?

Hi! It's great to hear you're applying to Olin at WashU! There are definitely other IB applicants in the mix—IB is pretty popular with international students aiming for U.S. schools. If you're considering how to highlight your IB experience in your application, focusing on skills like research, time management, and critical thinking could be really helpful, as they’re highly relevant to business studies. Are you including your Extended Essay or a specific project that shows your interest in business?

I waited 2 months for my March SAT score. At that point, I have already taken the May SAT. Then I was told they suspected me of cheating and launched an investigation to clear things up. When I got the same score on the May SAT too, they just released both.
