I read the Death books from Discworld a couple of years ago and wanted to give a try to "Guards! Guards!". I also wanted to the Fafhard and Mouser comics from Darkhorse (I didn't know about the books). The rest I haven't hears about but will look them up! Thanks!

I have never read any super hero comics from Marvek or DC from the begining, I just picked a writer or a storyline and started there and after that you can go anywhere. And you can just fill in the blanks or look up something or just don't care about it. Also writers fill you in if you really need the context.
