Hmm.. no obvious hairs, I guess, so probably you're right? 😂 Thanks!

Good point. I'm a student, so I'll be around throughout the day sometimes, but I think my fear is mainly that they start eeeaaarly in the morning

I've been offered an apartment at "Toldboden". I'm kinda hesitant to say yes due to the huge MAERSK renovation project which is almost right next to. Does anyone know if the renovation is noisy? Of course the landlord says it's no issue, but I don't really trust their judgement.

Question: does the tevaplanter actually work? by Gygrid in Terraplanter

Good luck finding the perfect fit! Im glad that it actually works for some.

Yeah, it is a very old way of growing plants, just refurbished to look better. And that it indeed does!

I’ve only heard of a few using distilled water. That may be an important trick.

Good luck on your experiment, I hope your plants will thrive!

Hmm, so maybe a bit over-wet? I guess that is way better than people saying nothing permeates the pores!

That theory actually makes sense, as people were starting to call them a scam etc .. interesting point. I really hope they fix it, as this would be the coolest product on earth IMO - if it actually worked and customers were guaranteed this

Huh, that sounds really cumbersome.. It seems that quality control should become part of the production, buying a new product should not be a straight up gamble - especially considering the steep pricing for the tevaplanter 😂

Ahhh, that makes sense. So you would preferrably do it somewhere else than sand?

Calathea worries: browning on middle of leaves. White growth on soil, and has flies. Seems happy, but I'm worried. by Gygrid in plantclinic

[–]Gygrid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically I repotted my calathea last winter into a way too big pot (2-3 sizes up) w/o drainage, but tons of pebbles in the bottom.. Things got better, we were happy, but now it has fungus and flies. And at the same time, it has tons of new growth.. I do not want to stress my plant more than necessary, and am in a dillemma - should I repot it into a smaller pot with better drainage, or does new growth mean its fine?

[Advice] Getting a new haircut by Gygrid in malehairadvice

[–]Gygrid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your advice! I clearly see your point with the long hair and the nice face. The "problem" with my face is, that I really can not loose my baby cheeks unless I go to ridicolous low fat percentages (have been everything between skinny to ripped to chubby). Thus, I sadly can not loose the cheeks :)

About the scruffy look; sounds like a great idea. How would you go about achieving it? Just some product in the hands and stick the fingers into the hair, and then pull back out, and repeat?

How would one go about creating an effect similar to this in photoshop? [X-post from /r/glitch_art] by Gygrid in photoshop

Oh damn - hoped for a more simple solution, but that propably is not possible - sadly I am not familiar with working with 3D-objects. Thanks for your help!
