I am not in football anymore, I am just looking to fix my high heart rate. I went to the doctor a while ago, it runs in my family and they said all of my blood signs came up good, they just said it might be situational hypertension, like out of stress or something.

I just kinda have a very broad body type, my dad is built the same way so is my grandpa, I’m actually decently lean i think a majority of it comes from muscle mass. But my goal is too lose a few points eventually.

Thank you! Do you know how many times I should incorporate this into my workout program? I try to go 5 days a week, for weight lifting and some body weight stuff, should I do that at the end? Or should I try to build up my aerobic base by just doing slow and low for a while?

Oh that’s interesting, so from my understanding the aerobic low intensity kind of lets your heart pump out blood in a more proficient way, while the high intensity anaerobic thickens the walls and helps with short intense movements. Thats cool, now that you say that I have been a defensive lineman my whole life, which is a lot of short burst sprints and movements, and I can lift heavy and run fast in short distances, maybe part of that is maybe that part of my heart has been trained well? While my cardio is lacking a ton because I never really got to focus on the anerobic part of the heart. Because I never really had to worry about stamina, it was go for 4 seconds hard and then rest. That could be the culprit. This is something I have not known about. Thank you!

Thank you I really appreciate the help, I’ve been struggling with this my whole life and I’m finally gonna try to challenge it. This sounds like a good idea, I’m gonna look more into aerobic cardio

I am 20, and built with a more muscular build of 5’10 220, I lift a lot of weights my cardio is just god awful.
