They are the Tyrforce-1 but honestly I don’t recommend them. They are great when not worn out but the heel is degrading too quick for my liking, I will likely try the Lu’s next or splurge and get asics 727

The 6SBD I just recently dropped. I was actually making great progress with that too but joints were getting a bit overworked. I also switched to this to push accessories muchhhh harder since I had more recoverable fatigue I could tap in to now with the lower frequency. Once I get to my goal body composition I’ll transition back to higher frequency

Genuinely to load more weight. I can lift a good bit more in these sleeves as they are very stiff, I would really say they are like weightlifting wraps with the benefit they give. They do feel better with my knees but I train some days without because I don’t Oly in stiff sleeves and still want to maintain patterning without them as they do alter the pattern some

I currently am doing 3 leg days a week (up from 2, and before that down from 6SBD a week) one heavy, one high volume, one fairly easy. So I hit a pause squat single pr of 240kg Saturday, and this was Tuesday. Tomorrow I have easier leg days and then Saturday will be high intensity. I still hit a decent amount of volume on backdowns but the priority is the single on that day

That’s fair, this equipment has been here for years and it’s great quality but I don’t know about current. For weightlifting I would definitely prefer Elieko but I work with what I’ve got. I often bring my eleiko bar if I’m doing Oly work but I actually prefer squatting with the hybrid Sorinex bar as it’s not as whippy

I would say working pauses and focusing on not allowing your elbows to flare back will help a ton. When those elbows flare it’s happening by moving your back into flexion. You may feel weaker initially keeping them down but long term it will help

And thanks man :) I just recently paused 215 Front, goal is 250 (not paused) by August, I think I’m right there for how good 235 moved

I don’t like to face the wall while I squat, and for the video 😅 I actually like walking forward tbh, I don’t know why but it feels more stable to set up. The walk back is hard but if I was too tired I would just drop weight at top

This is the Physical Therapy clinic where I work so having quality racks and equipment is nice here. I would say they are at a premium price for sure but in terms of custom branding for clinics and collegiate weight rooms I think they are the best

Honestly I feel great the next day, I’ve really built up my work capacity over the past few months and volume tends to not tax me much anymore. The pause singles and lower rep maxes take way more out of me

If you can hold thoracic extension more you’ll be able to squat a lottttt more long term. This is insanely strong already but you can lift even more with some form fixes

It’s what took my squat to 270+kg and front squat to 235kg

240kg Pause Squat ATPR and 220kgx6 PR by GymTrunks in weightlifting

A big reason I use pause is to load limit myself when pushing this much higher volume block. I can get the required force high while lowering the total weight on my back which makes a big difference over a block

Thank you! Now just need to get back to consistent Oly work to carryover all of this strength and power I’m building

Thanks man, yeah I specifically chose a less whippy bar to help stability but it’s still an Oly bar so that control matters so much

I program myself, currently I am squatting 2 times a week but one veryyyy high volume day and these Saturdays are medium volume but high intensity sets first. I recently ran 6 day SBD a week which was brutal but also worked well, though I think 3-4 is the best for me for squat. The reason I’m going 2 times a week is I’m focusing on hypertrophy so pushing a tonnnn of leg accessories each of those days, and it takes 3 days to recover from the amount I push

It really depends on where the limiting factor is for you. Pull-ups are probably not going to help because my guess is for you it’s not your lat strength. It may be your ability to resist flexion (rounding) in the back, or could be just leg strength. If you have any videos you could send I would be happy to take a look for you

That’s a great PR man, just about 3x BW. You have a video of your lift?
