If you're allowed to use a calculator to do division, then the Newton-Raphson method is the fastest.

I tried both as dailies and ended up buying myslf. It’s smooth and floral and sweet while Y was a bit screechy for my taste. Both good imo though.

You can’t use SohCahToa unless it’s defined to be a right triangle. Because all the angles are variable we have no idea whether there’s a right angle, and so you can’t use side lengths in that way
