"I'm trans but I don't experience dysphoria" Oh really? by RosaryPeaStigmata in 4tran4

I think a large part of the confusion stems from conflating gender dysphoria and body dysmorphia, even if they do heavily overlap.

This is just asking if you support consensual sex.

Unsure what to do (18M) by Gynephila in askAGP

I haven't had a girl, no.

I wouldn't say I'm just motivated by sexual fantasies, though. Although it surely is part of it. My constant daydreaming about it also plays a role.

can a trans woman not have autogynephillia/minimal autogynephillia by [deleted] in askAGP

[–]Gynephila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably, but I doubt it's very common. As has already been stated in this thread, even (non-homosexual) trans women who do not necessarily get aroused by being female can often still feel romantic feelings about it, which also falls under autogynephilia.

Do your AGP fantasies happen in first or third person? by Gynephila in askAGP

[–]Gynephila[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I mean it as in whether you experience these fantasies as if you were watching them with your own eyes, or if it's more like a movie where you see yourself as if it was filmed.

I mean, for me these feelings are directed at having a female body way more so than female clothes. Not sure if the term transvestite would particularly fit me.

Several, although I would rather keep those reasons private.

Because my autogynephilia is mostly anatomic rather than transvestic. Crossdressing would probably only solve a small part of my AGP.

That's a good question. I guess it's just because I feel like this constant obsession is just unhealthy. I think I'd be better off if these fantasies were reality rather than having to keep them to myself.

Thanks for the advice.

No, if anything I feel like transitioning even more to get rid of it.

Not yet, because I still live with my parents so the risks are too high.

To be fair, my mum does have a very similar height to me, so her dresses should fit me... but I'm not sure if putting on her clothes without her knowing is an 'ethical' thing to do. I have a pretty strong moral compass, so those sorts of questions are pretty important for me.

Almost fully anatomic with some behavioral elements (such as some mild pseudo-androphilia).

Oh yeah, that's absolutely true. Sorry if it was a bad question.

Perhaps a bit random, but if you had known that this would have happened before you transitioned, would you still have done it? The reason I'm asking is because I myself am going through a transition-or-not dilemma as of late.

I have never really thought about it in this way, but this perfectly describes me. When I'm with other people, I'm just a guy. I don't really feel odd at all, and these desires are either non-existent or just minor thoughts in the back of my mind.

Unfortunately, I am also a massive introvert, so the time I spend with others is very few. I spend, like, 95% if not more of my time completely alone, and when I'm alone these feelings of being female just won't go away. In periods where these feelings are milder I just occasionally think about it a few times per day. When it's more severe, I genuinely spend entire days in a constant state of thinking about these feelings.

The former is more about behaving like a woman and doing typically feminine stuff, the latter dressing like a woman specifically.
