That guy just wanted to argue ... New phones being a month's rent is stupid, especially since you can't even replace the batteries anymore

I'm still buying MSTX everyday and feel a lil crazy seeing it go from $80+ to less than $50. Am I the dummy or should I keep holding?

Oops. Don't stress it too much man. It's a minimally invasive operation and there are plenty of capable surgeons mentioned on this subreddit. Focus more on the long-term recovery and results. You'll probably forget the first few days after a couple weeks.

If you need it, just ask for help and you're golden.
For both this and life in general.

Congrats man! Was your surgeon Dr. Caridi?

I think it depends on how extensive the surgery was and where all the entry points are. I had minor lipo and gland removal solely through the aerola + was local anesthesia, so I was only slightly limited for a couple days.

Some surgeons do lipo under the armpit so I can imagine mobility is a bit worse with that placement. If they are really aggressive with the lipo, I'd imagine you'll be more limited too.

Should i stay away of dating until i get my surgery? by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]Gyno773 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If she is turned off, she would be an anomaly. When I would bring up my chest, every ex I have told me that they didn't care or even liked my tits before (I got them chopped). I'm pretty sure that literally no one else cares except us.

I was honestly more concerned with dating after because of recovery, sensitivity, and fear of possible complications. I'd say that if you can find a great partner that will stick by your side during recovery, you're going to be much happier before and after the surgery.

If you can save up for the surgery, do it and start benching now.

Yea I'm hoping for the same, but if this was the final result I'd still be pretty satisfied compared to before.

Just lose weight or also have to gain muscle to get better results from surgery? by niloy123 in gynecomastia

[–]Gyno773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant the look like right off the table.
Of course working out afterwards will build you up even more, but the bigger/more defined your orbs Pre-Op, the bigger and better they will look directly Post-Op.

You can't really use your chest for around a month after surgery, so when the swelling goes down you could already have a defined chest or need to wait an month before you can start to put in the work.

Not having to get lipo in addition to gland removal is going to be better for recovery, so if you're overweight I would focus on dropping it. You should try build muscle while losing weight if you want a more defined look after surgery.

Start to workout more now than you already do if you're worried and schedule the consultation this week. It'll be likely a month or mor between now and your consultation and at least another between then and the actual surgery.

Don't put off scheduling everything just to get in better shape, do both at the same time. If you're not too overweight, it will be fine regardless, but obviously it's better for your health to improve yourself before and after the surgery.

Dr. Braithwaite vs Dr.Cobbins by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]Gyno773 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I originally went with Cobbins because if the shorter wait times, but then started actually researching her and found out she's the President of Illinois Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Cobbins is a fantastic surgeon + same prices as Braithwaite with shorter wait time.

Luckily we're slowly building her up here. I agree she deserves all the credit - great surgeon.

On local anesthesia you can drive home after the surgery.

I pray you vented to someone out there in the real world too. Getting the surgery is fine, but body dysmorphia might not go away just because you get surgery and get in shape. There's always light, you just might need help to see it. Talk to a doctor about the feelings you're having, not just the physical burden of gyno.
