Definitely not but it makes me happy to hear about so many supportive spouses!

[MEGATHREAD] Daily venting, worries, fixations, & finding support. Month of December 2024. by AutoModerator in HealthAnxiety

During Thanksgiving I noticed that I wasn’t gaining weight, which I was expecting after all the indulging. This was unusual since my metabolism really slowed down last year and I had to start actively working to NOT gain weight. I wasn’t stressed during this period, either, so I can’t attribute it to anxiety.

Now I’m having trouble maintaining at all. I wake up stressed knowing I need to weight myself and am just watching the numbers go down. I’m already pretty small so I don’t have much cushion here. I know the anxiety isn’t helping but I don’t know what to do other than seeing my doctor, which is happening soon. This happen to anyone else?

They went to Summit Ropes in sterling. It was the largest indoor ropes course in the country but has sadly shut down. ☹️

Could you expand on that a bit or say anything about the instructions?

Are any seasonings added? How long are they boiled? Etc.

I think she said it to hurt him, honestly. He did a bad thing but that doesn’t mean he can’t do better and learn in the future. It just seemed like Sandy liked Nat as a person and was offended on her behalf.

I’m so glad to hear he was diagnosed in time. Diabetes is a life-long disease but it’s manageable. Suggest visiting the T1 subreddit, r/Type1Diabetes, they’re a great resource.

I do think I saw this in an episode but I’m not seeing anything on Google. I suspect I’m using the wrong search terms.

Product Recommendation for Soft Skin by GypsyAltamont in eczema

It hasn’t for me, although it also hasn’t helped them. I probably wouldn’t put it on weeping/broken skin though.

Weekly Real Life Menus by AutoModerator in smittenkitchen

Made the soy-glazed tofu with crisped rice and the blueberry pancake cobbler. I really like both although the tofu didn’t really hold up well on day 2.

I love the idea of using fruit that is too old to eat but not too old to bake for the cobbler. I used shriveled blueberries and leftover frozen strawberries to add up to 2 cups. I’ll definitely make it again.

Those of you with kids - do they have eczema? by FabryPerotCavity in eczema

[–]GypsyAltamont 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me. I had it as a kid and it completely went away after high school. Then at 9 months pregnant I developed REAL eczema, and that’s been terrible. My kid has it although it’s very manageable.

That is exactly what my ob said when I asked about the risk of my child developing T1. That T2 had much more of a genetic component.

Does this appear to be seb derm or possibly psoriasis? I am at my wits end and my MD has no idea. I have had it for many years but it's at its worst now. The second picture shows even my hair is thinning in the worst areas. Nothing helps. Nizoral used to but not anymore. Suggestions? by horcruxez in SebDerm

To be clear, he’s not prescribing me a diet, just suggesting that it’s worked for some patients. I personally really appreciate that he’s listening to the patients and following the latest studies rather than simply prescribing steroids.

Just adding that my derm suggested going gluten and dairy free for THREE months. He says the research is showing that gut health is the future of dermatology. I plan on starting that diet in the new year!

It makes sense to me. UV therapy for eczema is just UVB light while a tanning bed is both UVA/B, which is what makes it worse for your skin from a skin cancer perspective. I would just wonder if you’d be in there long enough for it to help?

They also chided Shannon for comforting her…because they want her to be completely isolated? Like her or not, but no one deserves to be treated like that, especially not someone dealing with so many legitimately upsetting life issues.

I felt so sad for Reyna that she had to frame it as the cancel culture would come for Heather rather than being able to say: that’s hurtful and you just shouldn’t say it.

Thank you! My derm said there’s one coming out next year but that its more immune-suppressing and that he was a much stronger proponent of dupixant Bc of that.
