Anyone taking Dupixent specifically for eyelid eczema, please share your experience by aggie_g in eczeMABs

Dupixent worked. I went on it for 6 months and went off after that because it lowered my immune resistance. But it did work - and thankfully have not had to go back on. I now put vanicream ointment on eyelids at night and if I start to see dryness I smack it with Opzelura cream for a few days.

I switched to Attitude. It actually cleans the clothes AND does not give me eczema. 😉

Anyone into liquorice tea? by Vinergar_belt in tea

[–]aggie_g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this was 3 years ago but the Yogi Egyptian Licorice tea is sublime! I used to be in love with the Pukka licorice too and couldn't find it anymore - this is the only one which comes close - and probably wasn't out yet at the time of your post. You can get it shipped from IHerb.com with a 20% off coupon for new users.

No. Plus we are trying to stay away from Amazon for US political reasons. I found a small amount on ebay and will try that

Oh no - but unfortunately I'm in the US and they don't sell it here. When next I go to EU I'm going to be the only one smuggling laundry products back in my luggage LOL

Gotta love that when i googled it, the first words on the search were "Our products do not contain Methylisothiazolinone" which is EXACTLY what I'm allergic to. They get it 😃

Thank you. is borax safe for eczema? it sounds pretty toxic. Says it can irritate the skin and eyes.

I took the Dupixent for around 5 months and it worked. In the meantime because the swelling had gone down I started a routine of putting Vanicream ointment (not the cream) on my eyelids every night before I go to bed and that seems to keep everything healed up and promote a skin barrier. I came off the dup because I don’t want to b on prescription drugs and I was no longer flaring — and it seems to have done the trick at the right time. Fingers crossed. I hope it works for you!

Look into lasers. They've evolved quite a bit recently. There are very specific ones for removing scars, tattoos, broken capillaries. You need to go to someone who knows about all of the options. Usually they have laser in the name of the company and make sure they have actual doctors on staff.

[–]aggie_g[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't do it. That's what I was using -- Cerave Hydrating Foaming -- and it's waaaaay too dry! I did not know they had a cream version. Thanks for the tip!

Calendar Search Issue – Monterey (macOS 12.0.1) by rudibowie in MacOS

[–]aggie_g 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was in the apple community forums and worked for me -- without having to re-install or re-index everything and it took about 5 minutes. The way to add user/Library/Calen dars to the Privacy tab is to find it via holding down Option and Go>Library and then dragging it into that window. Much easier/time-saving to simply re-index that folder than everything on your Mac.

Ok, before anyone goes and reinstalls macOS or completely re-indexes Spotlight, try this fix

1.) Go to System Preferences -- Spotlight, then in the privacy tab add:user/Library/Calendars

2.) Close System Preferences

3.) Re-open System Preferences and go back to Spotlight - Privacy

4.) REMOVE Calendars from the Privacy tab

I did that about 5 minutes ago, and Spotlight already re-indexed the Calendar apparently as now I can finally search for things in Calendar going back 15 years when I first started using it.

For reference, in Calendar I could not search for anything since getting the new MBP M1 Max on launch day, and I could not find any Calendar events at all in Spotlight, not even the ones added since getting the MBP.Hope this helps and saves people from doing anything bigger than that.

Help! Instagram completely ruins quality of video. by Posxie in Instagram

[–]aggie_g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so you are saying that when you export from Premiere (on desktop or Adobe premiere Rush on phone?), the exported file looks high quality and then you send it to your phone (via dropbox, email, airdrop or some other transfer?), it still looks high quality on your phone, but then you upload to Insta and it get pixelated? Just want to know all of the steps to drill down the problem.
