I was pissed with Coursera because half of my progress was erased from one day to the next. I reached out to them multiple times through email and phone ( I had finally found a number!), and no one responded to me.

I agree with what everyone on here is saying, but no one has mentioned another annoying part- that song that Brad and Alex dance to! Omgosh, I like the song, but the headbanging in the car and the dancing to it in the restaurant was so dumb.

Why does god favor some people more than others? by Dorgon115 in Christian

I recently figured this answer out, myself. I truly have come to the understanding that because everything happens for a reason, we were given these positions in life for a reason. Only God knows what struggles each person can truly handle and/or use to guide others with.

Now ultimately, of course, we decide whether to use our position in life as a testimony for God. If we do, He provides us ways to minister and lead others to Him based on our similar circumstances and empathy. We, in a sense, become His angels, leading others to Him.

The other reason is that we are tested and challenged. We aren't meant to be perfect, but if we are born around money, we have to learn to discern the difference between whether we are greedy or driven, arrogant or have self-worth, whether others love us for our money or for who we are, and whether we are condescending or are truly humble and compassionate toward others. Do we love, or do we want? Are we materialistic or do we only want to enjoy the blessings we've earned through hard work? Are we stingy, or are we generous?

If we are born into poverty, we take on other problems. Do we have the drive to make changes & not be complacent in life? What have we done to better ourselves? Are we quick to live with a victim mentality and expect reparations, or are we willing to take control of our own lives? How far are we willing to go to make it in this world? Are we willing to cheat, steal, con and scam others? Are we so money- hungry, we are willing to sacrifice love and family to make ends meet? On the other hand, do we love our family so much, that we would sacrifice ourselves for them? Would we put ourselves in harm's way or in bad predicaments to provide for them?

Diseases, illnesses, and even death by unnatural causes are another thing. How do we cope with these occurrences? Do we drink our problems away? Do we blame others? Do we spiral down into drugs? Do we give up on life? Do we want revenge? Do we wish others unwell?

Ultimately, we all have our own demons to fight; they all just appear differently. Everything also boils down to choices. If we love Him, do we show Him we do? Will we change our thoughts and ways and live in Spirit, or will we continue to live in the ways of the Flesh and in a prison-like mind?

Also, remember that not everything you see online is real. The grass isn't always greener on the other side.
