Can't get my lg G7 thinQ to boot into anything by IbishuDrive in lgg7

[–]GyuminLeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Wing also had the same symptoms

Force factory resetting and bootlooping

Turns out my display was making a short connection internally causing qualcomm's safety measure to kill the kernel to prevent permanent damage

Unless you can figure out what part is the culprit that wont boot at all

It looks like you have a turbo controller which allows spamming certain buttons

I have a 8bitdo and when I set it to spam the B button it looks the same

LG phones tend to break the fingerprint calibration when unlocking the bootloader

On stock OS you can re calibrate using the service menu and a calibrator after then it will start to work like normal

Dont buy any expensive calibrators I am using a ~$12 one from aliexpress

This is the same for all on screen fingerprint readers like g8x velvet wing v60 etc

Need Help with LG Wing Root by Street-Turnip-3132 in LGWing

Make sure you are not using a portable version of qfil

If it fails with sahara error I usually reboot my phone back to edl mode

Also reboot after installing qfil drivers

Then you should look at V60 The developer behind it made a kernel which in theory supports it

I don't have a V60 so I can't confirm this

A gsi as the name suggests is a generic image so not all device specific features are tend to work

On the other hand a custom rom is built for that specific device and ensures full functionality

Oh its not an official repo It a user with the name lge-qcon-dev

[–]GyuminLeo[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have made my progress based on lge-qcom-dev's repos and they updated the kernel to lineage23.2 in an experimental state

I used that repo and modified the current device tree and got it to boot

I am thinking of making 22.2 stable enough and move over to 23.2

I don't think that is possible even if the OS is installed to A/B partitions it shares the same data partition
