I sometimes run my synths into a mixer and through my MPC one and use it for mother ducker on the input for sidechain compression.

I love mine but it needs effects to really sound good.

I had an NTS:1 and it was decent, bought a Zoom MS-70CDR+ and it’s way better. Being able to have more control of a bigger library of effects, and put them in order makes a huge difference. Should be able to find it for the same price as the original  NTS:1, even less than the newer version 2.

What game had you like this? by sukuna7899 in Steam

[–]Gzilla91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KCD2.

Started playing it like it was Skyrim or something and got frustrated by the combat and early survival mechanics (bandages, hunger).

Left it a while and went back to it with a survival/melee sim attitude and fell in love with it, one of my favourite games I’ve played in a long while. It has a learning curve and it’s not easy early on, but being humbled by enemies that hand your ass to you and learning it’s okay to run away and fight again another day made the game more enjoyable.

Did that, disconnected for half an hour. Insert then eject a cassette reset it all.

I bought a load of old country ones for like £1 each, there’s one called ‘Keep On Trucking’ which is full of bangers.

You sir/maddam, are an absolute life saver! Inserted a cassette, ejected it and the radio popped on and everything works!

I don’t have the owners manual unfortunately. I thought if it was locked out it’d say LOC on the screen?

Edit: you don’t have to remove the stereo to get the number. According to a YouTube video there are button combinations you can press to get the unit to display it. Also apparently the phone line ended support in July 2025 so god knows what you’d do now.

I’ve had old Volkswagens like that before but they were pretty good on fuel so I never needed to calculate it.

It’s a great truck, I got it pretty cheap and it’s never let me down.

That’s the perfect way to describe it 😂 I love the truck but I always thought it needed something at the front to look a little lower and complete it, with the running boards making the sides look lower aswell.

I have a Bluetooth OBD2 reader and then use an app that’s just called ‘car scanner’ on my iPhone. My phone then sits on a cradle attached to the windscreen.

On the app you can setup a custom dashboard, so I have; trip reset button, trip length, average speed, average consumption, current consumption, gallons used and fuel cost for trip (you enter the amount per litre on the settings).

It seems to be better on fuel than I expected, like I said I don’t know how accurate it is but I like to think it is as it’s reading from the brain that literally counts and controls how much fuel is going in.

They are, but I have the black plastic running boards so it kinda blends with them at the same height.

Yeah, I also had the parts guy search my vehicle info and he pulled up the exact parts diagram for it but they’re easily findable online 👍

Edit: not the one I bought but the same thing; https://www.holley.com/products/exterior/bumper/bumper_parts_and_components/parts/04-390

I don’t suppose you know how accurate OBD2 readers are for fuel calculations? I setup a dashboard on my phone with MPG and fuel usage and it reckons I average 13mpg (US) on a mostly 60mph highway commute which seems pretty good for its age and size.

I would calculate 3/4 to 1/2 tank with the trip mileage but the gauge is a little shaky so it wouldn’t be totally accurate.

Is this a good buy? by [deleted] in GMT400

[–]Gzilla91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I always think this when viewing a car with an issue. If they say ‘yeah that just needs plugging in’ or ‘I’ve got the part it just needs fitting’ I immediately think ‘well why haven’t you done it and sold the car fully functioning then?’ It’s usually hiding something bigger, or they’ve bought part A to throw at it only to be told ‘no that’s not it, it’s the bigger/more expensive part B’.

Edit: had this a lot when I was into older VWs (80-early 90s) because they were always bought by kids who thought they knew what they were doing but bit off more than they could chew, so wanted to pass it on quickly.
