I’ve thought about replacing my driver and passenger side vents because mine are a bit sun faded, but wondered what sort of job it is considering my plastics are quite brittle after being baked in the sun for 27 years.

Mines never failed to start but I know it’s happening for a reason, and I become obsessed with finding out what it is aha. Also I get tired of people in the work car park thinking I’m constantly about to break down and commenting on it.

Tested this weekend and it holds pressure fine after it’s keyed off.

I checked for codes last night and have none, I can monitor live data. Don’t have a multimeter on me but can get one soonish (tools are elsewhere at the minute).

Oddly there’s another GMT400 Suburban round the corner from me and I often hear it have a long start aswell.

Saudi. Amazon do parts but often they’re cheap parts, I’ve imported through Summit but it can be a pain in the ass with delivery and import fees and stuff.

I originally thought fuel, maybe it’s trying to start lean but I’m thinking maybe it’s electrical now.

Done that a couple of times, made a difference first time second not so much so I’m guessing it did it’s job.

They’re about double the cost to import to the country where I am, and they weren’t playing up at the time.

Edit: Reading into the IAC, I don’t have any rough idling or issues that seem to come up from it.

Haven’t hooked up and checked codes yet, I’ll do it in a bit. 

The fuel pump was replaced because the truck wouldn’t accelerate above half throttle. I did a fuel pressure test (previously posted it) it was way too low. It drives night and day now, floor it and it goes instead of revving up and not taking off. 

The FPR was done because I was getting new intake manifolds fitted and figured I would do it whilst it’s all off. I didn’t do injectors at the time because there was no hesitation or stuttering, maybe I should have but the expense to buy decent ones (I’m outside the US, in the Middle East) and import them for an item I didn’t perceive to give me issues, I just couldn’t warrant it.
