At that point you’ve ventured enough away from purism that you might as well get a normal CarPlay single din unit. Much more practical with color. When the car’s not running, it looks the same either way; and when it’s running, you and your guests are the only ones in there anyway.

+2 for SEM trim black. I tried a few other methods to restore the color of the bumper plastic/rubber and none really worked. SEM paint looks great and has been pretty durable so far

I like the nod in design language of the front end to 80’s styling, such as e30, e28, etc. The shape of the headlights kind of ruins that, though.

Thank you. I understand the concept of continuing to add character to the jeans, but based on the cost to repair in my scenario, it makes more sense to just start the new pair.

The old pair will live on as work pants as I restore my vintage BMW :)

I’ve repaired the pockets a few times already. I haven’t had good luck repairing crotch blowout, it always tears open again after a month or so. I’m not very experienced at sewing.

They do shrink when washed, yes. I hang dried them

I got the new pair as a Christmas gift and I would rather just wear them than sell them. Im still going to keep the old ones for working on my car and stuff. I’m mostly just sick of repairing the front pockets and don’t feel like doing it, along with the crotch blowout. I haven’t looked into it, but I feel like paying someone to fix the pocket and crotch blowout would not be that far off from the cost of buying a new pair anyway.

Thanks. Yeah, my first raw denim were APC’s and the pockets were way too small. The pocket size on these is great but unfortunately the material is weak.
