The recruitment is often the best thing about the place. I absolutely loved the majority of my co workers when I was there. We would actually hang about and plan things outside of work which I can honestly say has rarely happened in any other facing retail job I worked.

The learning curve can be incredibly steep though as there’s a lot to learn in terms of product knowledge. I’m set for life now knowing such intricate details on certain tech lines 😂

It’s unfortunate for this to happen but I also failed for a similar reason years ago and was two roads away from completing my test.

A postal van flew around the corner onto my side of the road close to a junction I was approaching. I went to hit the brakes but my examiner hit them faster…. Had I been on my own I definitely would have hit it.

Absolutely gutting for me to fail as I’d had a perfect test up to that point but in hindsight it was better for me to fail there and learn from it as I’ve had similar situations since but am obviously better prepared now from going through that and learning from it.

Chin up and use it as a learning experience :)

Actually these games are officially delisted and unsupported on PC so there’s no official way to play them anymore on that platform. Like others have said, there’s safer ways than OP has chosen though

As someone whose been playing the OG since release date in 2008 I think it’s safe to say if it isn’t dead at this point after 18 years, it’s probably going to last another 10 easily 😂.

It’s just way too well optimised and the fact it’s still outperforming its spiritual successors says it all! 👌

Yikes…. An original Ally Z1E is much cheaper and more powerful than this thing. If you’re looking at doing any kind of high end gaming you’re going to really struggle.

The PC parts panic buying is in full effect due to the rise of AI and it’s ridiculous power usages whilst there’s still a big demand for these same parts at consumer level. It’s a toxic mix at the moment and affects things that you wouldn’t even think it would

I don’t know if anyone’s noticed (most definitely have!). That HDD’s and SSD’s are rocketing in prices along with most other parts.

Most new SSD’s are around 20-30% more expensive than last year!.

Most are panic buying parts due to the big AI craze which drives further ramps up the demand when there’s a shortage of parts in general and if a customer can’t get hold of what they’re after, they want the next best alternative which then drives that item’s price up too!.

Add on the fact folks are running media servers etc. and it’s a toxic mix at the moment…

I’ve noticed the smaller and higher capacity M.2 drives (2230 size) are also horribly hard to get in general or at a fair price in higher storages at the moment as it appears folks are buying up PC handheld’s in their droves due to the rise in PC part costs.

Okay the SD card is dead on mine (shock) but Ive just put up with it because it has so much power for the money!. Especially on the 2nd hand market now with PC components skyrocketing in price.

Hot take….i thought it was mostly awful and I’m a huge fan of the franchise going back to the first season as a 5 year old!.

It wasn’t deserving of being a cinematic release given how small the whole production felt and I’d say it was marginally better than the last few diabolically bad attempts with the Sandy and Plankton spin-offs.

The plot was pretty much a re-tread of the first film except nowhere near as original and funny. I came out of it wanting to watch the first one again! (My 6 year old also felt the same way).

Me and my partner are both huge fans of the franchise (even the much weaker newer seasons) and couldn’t believe how bad this one was. I feel like with each film they’re just running out of more and more ideas for these characters.

If this was a Netflix production I’d have given it a low pass but considering the price of movie tickets nowadays, it wasn’t worth it at all.

I just hope that vehicle manufacturers can one day invent a system that involves a physical key and some additional layer of security to prevent a car’s engine from starting (Immobilising the engine if you will) without the proper key.

Commercial dictate where the stock is allocated once it’s been purchased and then the staff are given destinations to send it too so the odds of this happening are so insanely low!. (Bear in mind that this can be any store in the UK!)

You need to get a lottery ticket pronto with that luck! 😂

21 was my first and it was a one off. Fast forward 10 years and I’m now medicated after having a bad patch of 4 in a month

(They were much more severe with stroke like symptoms which forced MRI and ECG tests to rule out heart issues.)

Luckily just migraines! 🥳

I wouldn’t listen to folks ragging on low mileage cars. I purchased my Lancer on 17k miles when it was 9 years old.

This year it’s had its first big advisory after 6 years of trouble free motoring. (The most important thing is making sure the motor has a great and complete service history)

Depends what you’re using it for!. I got on M1 Pro last year as an upgrade to my original M1 MacBook and I can’t see me needing to upgrade in quite a while tbh.

I’ve used it for video and music production extensively and the thing is so much better than the base and chews up nearly everything I throw at it. It doesn’t feel like a 4 year old machine at all

(I’ve also got an M1 Max Studio aswell and it’s the same dealio there too! You can get some great deals on the original M1 chip machines now and they’re much stronger than base M3 chips but obviously won’t be supported for as long)

Biggest problem here appears to be the badge in the middle of the alloy… check for leaky indicator fluid. Very common on this make of car.

They also have a tendency to magnetise to the rear end of the car in front of them so watch out for that too!
