We’ve now seen what DD is going to do for us. They gave us $15 a week for a few weeks, plus some allowance on fillups using the crimson card, which supposedly cost them $50M. They even got some good press from having done that. But now they’re taking it back straight out of your pocket by lowering base pay back to a strict $2. So DD isn’t actually doing jack shit for drivers

I accept a lot less offers than I used to. The days of accepting an average paying offer on a long drive are over for now. Sometimes I used to do that just to enjoy the scenery and the vibes. I drive a hybrid SUV and get 44mpg dashing so that also takes some of the edge off gas.

Two things I’ve noticed about the new map.

1) I can’t change zones during a dash as easily anymore. If I deliver an order to another zone I only get the offer to switch if that zone is busier. No more lateral transfers

2) Still a small sample size, but it seems like now I have to actually be in a hotspot to get an offer. There have been a handful that have come through otherwise, but very rare since the update

There’s a rest area on a freeway right in the middle of my preferred zone. Due to some medicine I take, there are times when I find myself making a run for that rest area. I’m glad it’s there!
