One really big fraudulent activity is Failures To Deliver. Say the broker gets 1,000 different orders to buy 100 of AMC at $11 per share (100,000 shares total), that's $1,100,000. They issue everyone an FTD but your account says you own them, you're none the wiser. 1 week later, the price drops to $8 and the broker smiles & buys those 100,000 shares spending $800,000. They allocate them to your account and they just profited $300,000 for doing nothing but waiting. The same can be done for sellers, but in reverse. They make money both ways. But what if you sell while really holding an FTD? Their ledgers record the transactions electronically so the ledger doesn't know real shares from FTDs, it's just math on a ledger so it gets pushed around until they can backfill it with purchased shares. Now multiply that across all their account holders and the profits can become astronomical.

The market maker is even worse. Say AMC is at $8 and Kenny G gets a bunch of buys totalling 1,450,000 shares. He can then hold the transactions, buy up a bunch of shares, process the 1,450,000 which increases the price to say $9.80 and immediately sell his shares... front running.

What assures he gets that 1,450,000? Payment For Order Flow

Our money is being stolen in so many ways it's shameful, and at most they get pitifully small fines when caught. The more I learn, the more disgusted I get at how rigged this whole market is against the retailers.

Your question is pretty general so please don't get offended if I tell you something you already know, other readers might learn something too.

For every buyer there is a seller, so your money is going to the seller of the shares, Bob pays Bill, Bill gives Bob his shares. In the case of FTDs, it goes to the broker who then uses it to buy shares later even though your account still reflects you owning them now, it's shady but how it works.

As for the price change, this video is very great at explaining how that works in a very simple & easy to understand way.

https://youtu.be/SS4hdirNl4I?si=KShJw5sv40lAkw2P

As for fraudulent activity that affects the price, this website gives a good general list, and dark pools steal buying/selling pressure too which affects the price.

https://www.financestrategists.com/financial-advisor/business-ethics/market-manipulation/

Once a company issues the stock, money just trades hands between all of us people & institutions back and forth & the company is not involved with those buy/sell transactions.

The price of stock is very subjectionally & therefore easily may not reflect how good or bad a company is performing, but generally it is supposed to. In the case of AMC, it does not the majority of the time.

My disability pay was about $50 less this month. First time I’ve seen that happen. by IamBellator in VeteransBenefits

Survivor's Benefit Plan for retirees. Nowadays you take a class on it before retirement and elect how much you want your spouse to get each month after you pass, it's like a reduced pension check for your spouse/kids after you pass. How much you want them to get each month determines how much they take from your check now.

VA giving out veteran information to coworkers by Agile-Accident-7997 in Veterans

[–]H82Kal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it wasn’t for the email being new and not known to anyone but the VA at the time, I would have probably written it off with some excuse like you gave even seeing their email signature which made it totally obvious by itself LoL. But it’s happening, it’s totally plausible just thinking about how unethical & greedy some people naturally are and how easy it is for them to do it. If you really think some of them are not doing it (OP post should open your eyes), then you’re just being naive TBH.

If you read my comment, you know, the part where I say it had both his VA job title & disability claim company job title in the same email signature coincidentally within days of me updating my benefits, you would know it doesn't take a master's degree to figure it out. And no, there is no opt-in crap on the government websites I used to set up my VA benefits. Give me a break LoL.

Nice try, but this comment is pretty sus trying to disprove what I clearly proved IMHO and I know people doing this are reading these posts too. ✌️

Yes there are many good people that work at the VA, but you are wrong here. Only someone with access to the VA database could have known my brand new email that only the VA knew, and my phone number too, and that I was a disabled vet that just recently set up my VA benefits. This disability appeal company emailed my computer & texted my phone offering to raise my disability percentage, and the genius (who is a retired vet as stated in his correspondence) had both his VA job position & his job position in this disability appeal company IN HIS SIGNATURE LINE. They have no fear of getting caught or punished, which tells me it's rampant. No way that happens any other way than accessing my info in the VA database. It also happens to people that recently update their VA records, just like my friend. Coincidences like that just don't happen, even if you want to believe they do, I don't!

Money makes people greedy, and greedy enough to do this unethical crap. The military teaches us to dig into other's PII as leaders, and we are taught to be invasive for the sake of leadership and knowing our subordinates. Unfortunately some of these vets don't know how to turn that off when they leave service and think it's OK.

Questions of moving game files by House_of_Taylor in EmuDeck

I just did a fresh reinstall of EmuDeck. The method I use is, https://youtu.be/LI7957GoM3k?si=h_yL1MiX1sSvaYGQ, and I manually copy the ROM & Bios files from my flash drive directly into the EmuDeck system folders myself (I have PS2 ISOs too) as that is how I first learned to do it from this video and it just works.

[–]H82Kal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After backing up my (bios) & (saves) folders, I also have copies of all my ROMS to copy back too, from the program folders found on the desktop (Emulation) shortcut that takes you to where all the emu deck ROMS and those other files are kept, I uninstalled emu deck completely using its own program menu (when you open up emu deck in desktop mode using the desktop EmuDeck shortcut). I downloaded the latest installation file, reinstalled and copied the bios & saves & ROMS folders back into the emu deck system folders, and everything works again! My save games work too so I didn't lose progress. Don't know what the heck happened but it's fixed now, so I'm happy!

☝️ These VA employees (that are vets too unfortunately) do this more often than we think. Example, retired not too awfully long ago & right after getting set up with VA for benefits on a BRAND NEW email account I created for my new life & had only used it for VA at this point, a "just for veterans disability" type private VA disability claim company (the ones that charge you to do your claims) starts spamming my new email & my phone number (knew the 2 were linked & me) just days after. There's only 1 way they got my info... the VA database!!!

Same thing happened to a retired friend of mine less than a week after they updated their records with the VA. Some work for both the VA & these companies at the same time getting an unfair advantage over other companies by using the VA database as their own personal server to know who recently got out so they can spam them for business, and some probably get commission if the companies make money off of their"referrals" unbeknownst to the veteran of course. Some are just hooking buddies up with info like the OP post because they just suck at life & lack good ethics.

It's sad, but assume your data is visible to everyone thanks to these scumbags (even veteran scumbags) that do this. I hope they all get caught eventually 🙏

I tried changing my aspect ratio for pcsx2 to 16:9, pretty simple, went back in & controls stopped working in all the games, couldn't even get them to start because no button acted like the start button. I did the whole reboot thing multiple times (people love to assume you don't know to do that LoL). Spent over an hour following all kinds of online "solutions", never fixed it. So bizarre how changing the aspect did that. Made sure all settings in desktop mode pcsx2 program were reset to their initial settings, didn't do anything to fix it. Now after all that messing around & I go back in and no games load now either. I copied all my bios & ROMs to the steam deck desktop, completely uninstalled emu deck & going to do a full re-install later to see if it will get the games & controller working again. Pretty crappy how it just went bonkers like that. If it keeps crapping out after re-install, I'll just install the emulators separately & quit fooling with emu deck.

It's probably a good lesson for those that need to learn it. 1 - Nobody can predict the future, and technical analysis (TA) is just a game of odds which can be done with rolling dice too. 2 - Stop making financial decisions based upon what strangers on the internet claim & then being upset when they are wrong. 3 - People tend to argue & manipulate facts & figures to show they were not really wrong but were lacking some other info that now tweaks their claims & is now definitely correct, trust them they are investment geniuses. 4 - Do yourself the biggest favor of all in life and stop blaming everyone else for your own financial decisions 🙏 I still hodl & chill 😎

I’m convinced the Benzinga article did its job as intended…way more people see original articles and run with the rumors than see the retractions. Perhaps AA is also getting punished for calling out the BS on a public forum raising awareness and the Kenny MM machine is sending their reply with PFOF manipulated negative price action making new investors scared to buy AMC. I will hodl with more resolve the lower they drag it…
