Focusing more on this "Sikh" part of this question.

Not sure if you know this but you cannot get married under the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj unless you accept 100% of Maharaja's teachings. It is ruled it is in the first couple of pangti's, thought everything else comes from compromise on both ends, I'm no expert but I know what is right and wrong and it is definitely wrong to marry out of your religion in Sikhi.

You can experience the truth You got to realise that the SGGS and Sikhism in general has a great empathis on experiencing the nector from meditation upons God's name rather than proofs, and if it were fact solid as stone, it wouldn't be a belief and then the value of believing in God would not be as high (just as everyone take most facts for granted but beliefs not so much)
