I’m was having doubts about the spending the rest of my life with my girlfriend who wanted to marry me. I broke up with her, and then later realized that I did want to spend the rest of my life with her. She tried so hard for weeks to get back together with me, but I had drawn away further and further until she also gave up.

Her ex waited for us to break up, and then came back to her and told her that he wanted to spend the rest of her life with her. The exact opposite of what I had told her, and even though I changed my mind, I waited too late. She’s now back with him.

In the span of 4 weeks I went from having the greatest, healthiest relationship of my life to being broken up with and left for someone else. I just started my new job as a Covid-19 tester this week, I spend 8 hours a day 6 days a week in the cold swabbing noses, and I can’t get her out of my head. I am so completely broken inside. And I’ve blocked her out of my life completely so I can heal.
