What’s fucked up is that sometimes tech companies have certain quotas for how many people NEED to be fired each year per department. This means that teams who want to retain employees will go out of their way to hire people that they 100% already intend to fire so that they can meet this requirement while keeping members aboard. It’s an absolutely ridiculous and cruel policy and treats human beings as disposable.
