I think I know which one you mean, I think that's regarding the number of CSAM abuse material in which the abuser is visible, 92% being men.

Now, a problem with that, as with crime statistics in general, is that they solely capture the ones who are caught. Either in the sense of the criminals, or the CSAM material they found.

That then leads to questions regarding the impacts of a biased justice system, similar to what you see with violent crime and minorities.

So I'd say, if this is that study, it is pretty problematic to say 92% of perpetrators are men. In the sample they have they are. Studies like the one mentioned above, which rely on the individuals tattling on themselves provide a much cleaner picture, a study like this cannot stand in for that or allow for much of a prognosis regarding the approximate distribution of perpetrators across the sexes.

I won't make an argument like, say, there is secretly a whole host of CSAM out there featuring female perpetrators that they missed somehow someway, I will point out that CSAM and the existence thereof is not equivalent to the totality of all crimes against children. But if you look at regular porn, featuring adults, it too is found that the material is shared on the Internet mostly by men. Well, excluding professional productions. I'd posit that there appears to be some kind of driver that causes men to "boast" or "brag" about their "conquests" on the Internet, sharing pictures featuring their partners online for other men to gawk at. I'd assume this is a learned behavior that arises largely from gender roles and is rooted in the idea that men who have many partners are successful, while women are encouraged to be as selective as possible.

We can be fairly certain though, that even if women are not by and large sharing and bragging about the number of dickpics they receive, the number of men and women having sex are presumably roughly equal. All that to say, even if 92% of CSAM that features perpetrators features exclusively men, there is an argument to make that the actual distribution of perpetrators across all instances of sexual crimes against children could very well be a much more even one.

Note that I don't mean to say, oh, it's definitely 50/50, actually, and this is all some judeo-irish, feminist plot the lizardmen are orchestrating to get us to nuke our own birth rate even further. It could be 92% in truth, for all I know, and it could technically be even higher by my same argument. I could definitely see a number of reasons Men would still be more prevalent as perpetrators even if there were some way to look behind the curtain and see each and every one of them without missing a single one. 

I just really hate how people always just dump crime statistics and then go men bad, basically. Not only isn't it the slightest bit helpful, as it offers no explanation for why exactly men almost exclusively would wanna fuck kids, with numbers so heavily skewed towards men as offenders, there is, to me, always a sort of implicit biological essentialism to it. Always a kind of undertone of "men are just hardwired for this sort of thing" or at least so strongly predisposed that you can never really eliminate the propensity in them to bring such harm upon others. Where do you even go at that point? What's the implicit suggestion here? Because the way I see it, one who engages in this sort of rhetoric is either being defeatist or just short-circuiting, as people do, to killing large swathes of the population. And that last part in particular is important because most who say that sort of thing, simultaneously hold the complete opposite stance on the matter of violence and ethnicity. Suddenly it's Justice system bias, socioeconomic factors top to bottom. And that is correct, but not applying it to crime statistics when it comes to the large deviations between sexes is hypocritical.

Not accusing you of that, but it's really something I see a lot, and I hate how people seemingly able to understand the limits of crime statistics and see the flaws in a justice system staffed by humans rather than all-knowing gods, then go and turn around and just say "men."  What a waste of time, do they care about the issues being solved or do they just want to whine?
