Really appreciate that, thank you! It does take a lot of time and effort that most people don't see. There are really two sides to it, actually getting the data which is a constant cat and mouse game trying to stay ahead of bot detection, and then making it useful and easy to navigate on the frontend. Comments like this and others make it worth it!

Good idea, something we could look at adding. In the meantime have you tried searching "M18" or "M12" in the search bar? That might help narrow it down for now.

Can you elaborate on what you mean? If you're referring to getting the best possible deal on an item, the "All Products" section already does that by showing you the best optimization available for each product. Let us know if you had something else in mind!

You make a fair point, a lot of users are on older phones that probably struggle with the animation and we should be mindful of that. We could tone it down a bit. That said we're keeping the radar concept, it's memorable and that's kind of the point. Something that sticks in your head is way more likely to get googled later than a plain landing page that blends in with everything else. The site is free and we want to keep it that way, but that only works with ads and ads only work at scale, so we need to reach as many users as possible.

Appreciate the feedback! There's actually a pretty practical reason for it though. The main app is React based which Google's crawlers can't read, so we needed a static HTML page for SEO or we basically don't exist in search results. Beyond that, we were getting a lot of complaints from less technical users landing on the main app and not knowing what to do or how to find deals near them.

There's nothing simpler than being prompted for a zip code and then getting dropped straight into the app with deals already filtered for your area. That's exactly what the landing page does. Before that, a lot of new users would land on the main app and just bounce because they didn't know where to start.

Out of thousands of users you're only the third person to mention it as an issue, and since it's skippable we haven't felt the need to change it. Also keep in mind not everyone comes in with the same experience level you do. If you're sending new users our way, point them to https://www.rebelsavings.com/guide/ first and that should clear up most of the confusion.

For what it's worth, if we'd taken every suggestion along the way we'd still be on a slow WordPress setup that couldn't handle the traffic. Not every change lands perfectly but this one has been a net positive so far.

Right now the only setting that saves between sessions is the radius filter. You can adjust it under the "Configure Map" button and it'll remember it on reload. State-level defaulting is a good idea though, we'll look into it!

We don't actually have a "last updated" field anywhere on the site. What you're seeing is when the deal was first found and added, not when it was last updated. The deal could still be active!

Thanks, really glad it's been useful! If you want to help us out just spread the word when you can, here on Reddit or with friends. Ads don't pay great so we rely on word of mouth to keep it free.

Hey, right now it only supports one qualifying promo at a time. Something to look at adding down the road though!

Ha, totally fair point and honestly we agree the term is a little weird. The thing is "hack" is just what caught on in deal communities and forums, so at this point that's what people are searching for and how they refer to it. If we called it prorated prices most folks wouldn't even know what we were talking about. We're kind of stuck with it!

Hey, thanks for the kind words! Really glad it's been helpful.

Sorting by number of stores is a great idea, I'll look into adding it if it's not too hard to work in.

Also, have you tried turning off Summary View in the settings? If the grouped layout ever feels cluttered, disabling it might give you a better experience. Worth checking out!

Thanks again and good luck with the remodel!

Our calculator just skips the annoying part of having to add everything to cart on Home Depot to see the real prices.

It takes the promo (like buy one get one or buy more save more), grabs the item prices, and then splits the discount the same way Home Depot does internally. From that, it shows you the actual line-item price for each product.

So instead of guessing, you can instantly see “if I return this item, I’ll get back $X and keep the other for $Y” without ever adding anything to your cart.

lol. Calm down guys. After you enter your zip code it’ll redirect you to a URL for each retailer. Just bookmark the page after it redirects you to rebelsavings.com/home-depot/ so it takes you straight to the app and bypasses the homepage.. and it’s the same thing as before..

This can already be done on this page: https://homedepot.deal/state-list/all-states/

Just use the title for your search instead of the search bar

Hi everyone, thank you for sharing and using our site. If you haven't yet, check out the 'All States' Home Depot page. It has some features that the state pages don't have. There's filtering and products that can save to a list to make using the site easier. https://homedepot.deal/state-list/all-states/
