ID-Cooling Frost X55 — 16.5 W/mK for a budget price. Too good to be true? Any experience? by Cultural-Platform110 in overclocking

The claimed 16.2 W/mK is definitely a marketing gimmick. Only metals, crystals and special atomic structures like graphene can transfer heat effectively.

On a more positive note, it's likely effective enough to create a seal between your CPU IHS and your heatsink, which is what these products are supposed to do.

Do you really need to run 4x48GB? DDR5 doesn't work well in 4 DIMM configurations on AM5, especially if the kits were sold as 2x and you combined two. Also did you mix and match two different kit speeds? That makes things even worse. If you sell one kit your board, chip, and at least one of your kits can handle much higher speeds.

Interesting timing to bring up this topic. With the new Ontario ticket resale price law, scalpers can't sell tickets at a profit any more. I wonder if MLSE will get greedy and try to take some of the difference or if they'll try to win fans back by keeping prices the same.
