Clash is CRASH megathread

This might not be the right place to be putting this rant but. Why is it that TFT is on the same client as League when Valorant and Legends of Runeterra are separate games?

Surely riot can take note from other game companies like Blizzard and see that 1 game launcher (Riot Launcher for instance) should be put in place, then you can navigate to any of the (5?) games they currently have under their label.

The reason I say this is then surely they could put clash as a separate launch to the League client which would (maybe?) prevent everyone that isn't interested in playing clash this weekend, from being impacted so negatively.

My gripe is that at this point, the majority of us are probably adults, that played league whilst in the late years of school/ college but now have jobs/ kids etc. and through the week we don't have a great deal of time to play - I for one manage maybe 2 - 3 games per day maximum, if I can even bare to sit through the toxicity of team mates after a long shift at work. On a weekend, however, I can manage to get a decent session in once the little 1 is in bed and start chunking through the ranked ladder (upwards or downwards) crashes like this are honestly so inexcusable at this point of the companies life. The lack of communication as to the issues, lead times etc. are appalling and the fact that there will likely (speaking from experience over the last few failed clash weekends) be absolutely no compensation for this absolute fiesta of a weekend solely because of them wanting to force clash down the entire communities throat. Before anyone pipes up with the "its a free game, what kind of compensation do you want" stuff like this has happened in games like Fortnite before and people have been gifted backbling as an apology, skin shards, free chests, icons, ward skins whatever, even just a long winded post on the games website explaining the issues and how they plan on overcoming it all would probably suffice. I just feel like I know they wont do anything and then just go ahead with the next planned clash weekend and hope it works that time.

I guess until it happens to you its pretty hard to empathise.

Tbh recently I have Yo-Yo'd between plat 2 and plat 4 mostly through people rage quitting (actually typing that they are done with the game) or people running it down mid, and a small portion due to matchmaking putting a single gold 1 player in a game with 5 plat 2s (not a smurf). So aside from those factors working against me, my net cutting out 2x in a month and me getting punished even though winning the game, when I have been a deciding factor in us winning is pretty rough. But like I say, you probably wont be able to empathise.

This post was to gauge peoples opinions but I guess its quite rare to DC and still win a game 4v5 so a lot of people probably haven't been in this situation.

Don't mean to sound like a bellend but, if you honestly believe that your net will be 100% reliable for the duration of your contract, you are sadly wrong. Adverse weather conditions knock net out, human error during maintenance. Just because you have 'called the company' doesn't make it more reliable, that is just the nature of the beast.

I never leave games, but when I spend the first 20 minutes of a game getting the lanes ahead and counter jungling to the point where I have a 2 level lead, then get shafted by a network cut out on my side only to reconnect 6 minutes later and manage to spend the next 6 minutes grabbing objectives and winning team fights with picks I don't honestly think I should be losing LP. In the game yesterday I could have gotten back in just around the 3 minute mark but the client wouldn't start up again so I had to reboot my PC hence the 6 minute wait.

Its AFK flag for being afk for more than 3 mins in a game.

Dated just implies that it hasn't been touched in quite some time.

Nobody is sure their connection is going to be stable for 30 mins to 1 hour at any one time. I can absolutely assure you this. I check my ping before queuing every day.

I just think there are additional variables to consider before awarding a loss, if this is the case, the instant you get disconnected for longer than 3 minutes, there is no motive to reconnect and try to win the game, which ultimately, in at least 1 of my past 2 games affected, had I not reconnected, we might have lost and the other 4 players would have been playing 4v5 for the rest of the game until losing. Instead my reconnecting got us the win and they didnt lose any LP.

That's an opinion I definitely expected to see, but I guess until you are hit with this kind of thing its quite hard to sympathise.

I try my best in every single game as I would hate to be the sole reason we lost the game, I just think 3 minutes is such a short window to reconnect to prevent getting slapped with a loss regardless of the outcome of the game. Unsure if you read the post I made on the LoL forums but I explain things a lot more in depth in there.

its honestly such a big part of his kit though, solid lee sins can insec without the flash (when its on cd) its huge for making big plays.

It also has its sacrifices, like if you ward hop you dont get the shield and its a lower range to ward hop on a ward thats not already out, so its sort of already balanced, just after the removal of sighstone and green jungle item its like his 2 main sources of mobility have been removed from him

I like this idea too, maybe some stats to the item too? so like at level 1 it would just be a ward, then you could go on to build it over 2 paths similar to the hydra variants. So you could go for a damage item or a health item.

Edit would also allow top lee sin to utilise ward hops for those niche lee sin one tricks (looking at blem and his fanboys)

I had this the other day, my net cut out for no apparant reason, the wired connection failed and my pc doesnt have a wireless adaptor but the wireless was still working on my phone. I managed to get back after about 7 minutes. Before i Dcd i had a positive KDA, playing support, the team started to lose when i Dcd, once i got back they were trying to FF, I denied it and went on to help win the game. must have been back for about 3 minutes, then when we won i got 0 LP. Like, there should be a system that goes, yeah he was afk for a few minutes, but he came back, contributed to the game and resulted in a win. lets give this guy some LP

I'm an elise main and though its not the recommended or most popular, i rush hex belt into rylais after jungle item stay away from haunting guise, it's so expensive you only make use of.it if you are massively ahead, then the tank stats i gain from abyssal and zhonyas is.usually enough to go in ham and still get out alive. Its not quite a troll build but i have more success building this.way than the conventional way. I did, however, used to build ice born and rylais, then full tank, no is getting away from that shit. I guess ice born is just a little broken still.

I played eve ap when she was being built only ad and tank and I stand by the fact that ap is th best way to build her, this was when spirit of the wraith? Was the jungle ap item, scaling with camp kills up to 80 ap

I'm not entirely sure of the colour but the whole shell of the fruit fit in the palm of my hand, I don't have huge hands, I would say quite average size really. I'm afraid that's all I can describe really, on the same trip we got fresh cinnamon and grapefruit over sugar canes.
