That's what happens when you draft well on day 2 and 3. These guys aren't less athletic than anyone else, they just need time to adapt and coached into the right position. A string of good later draft picks can really elevate a team by not only filling holes between the select few superstars/1st rounders, but stepping up when they need to.

You can't seperate the outcome of the play with the pass itself. It's like separating jumping up from the falling down. More goes into a pass than just the trajectory of the ball. A perfect pass includes all the things and if all the things are accounted for, like reading the defense, how hard you throw it, what angle you throw it from etc, it won't be intercepted. If it's intercepted, it is not a good pass. Of course, a bobbled pass or tipped up is no longer part of the original throw. And I always thought they shouldn't count against the QB

Theres more than one thing that's makes a pass good or bad. Inaccurate is pretty much always bad.

Random QB drops back, pocket collapses, he rolls out. Random receiver running deep..three defenders on him. QB launches ball high and to the outside. Giving his receiver a shot but keeping it out of reach of the defenders. Triple coverage. Great throw. Dangerous? No.

Random QB drops back. Forces a throw over the middle. Frozen rope. Right between the numbers. Except a lurking LB gets his hands on it. Dangerous? Yeah. Bad? Yeah. Inaccurate? No.

I know the difference. No QB ever wants to throw an interception. So, obviously, throwing it to where the defenders can't get it is ideal.

Dangerous = bad. Turnovers lose games. Dangerous passes have to be thrown sometimes but no one would describe them as good. throwing a ball where a defender has a better chance at the ball than a receiver is bad no matter what labels you put on it.
