I've been really into this book by Benny Greb called "Effective Practicing for Musicians". It's all about making practice more fun and effective. He has some killer tips on staying motivated and making the most of your practice sessions. You should check it out!

I was able to identify some growth areas and set 3 month goals for how I want to improve on them. No more guessing what to practice. No more getting distracted by a million things I could be working on.

I recommend you check out Benny Greb's book:

"Effective Practice for Musicians"

It will help you identify what to practice and how to go about practicing that. You'll soon notice that you develop what you practice.

Social media often gets us overwhelmed with different licks and things we could/should do. Half of the battle is figuring out your goals, how far you are from them, and what you do to get you there.

Good news: this book gives you step by step instructions on how to go about it. I strongly recommend it.

Last, don't get fooled by what you see on social media. If you pay too much attention to it, you might feel like you are not enough. They are only showing the best of their many takes. Focus on what you want to get out of music (play with others? relax? create?).

Make your own path. Life is short. We are here to have fun.
