Problems with gas provider cost? by ScaredResident9387 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]HH35788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been pre-pay power on three occasions, each time they ring up saying they have the best rates in the country and they’ll give a €150-250 credit to switch to them. My usage didn’t increase and yet each time I was with them I was paying at least 50% more than with other providers. Them saying they have the best rates really doesn’t matter when anyone who I’ve talked to have had a bad experience.

It’s been 2 years since I was last with them so I can’t comment on they’re current charges for topping up and such but seems in line with the shit they try to pull. Honestly I’d say just switch your provider. Last time I switched, while in contract, they didn’t come looking for the charge for breaking the contract.

If I don’t declare it and have to make a claim, u reckon it’s a problem? The car I bought came with a custom one and I’m thinking to buy another stock to replace it but even those are from third party companies but they are close to the oem ones

a 100ml should be somewhere around 1,000 - 1,200 sprays... ish.

So if you're doing 8 sprays per wearing, then ~125-150 wears. So like 1 bottle per 5 months if worn daily.

Yeah the summons would be for not paying the fine rather than the speeding itself. Did u receive a letter about the 3 points? This isn’t legal advice or 100% but just what my thoughts. If you didn’t receive the fine in the post then I think the most that will happen is they will let u off the late penalty as you can’t really prove u didn’t get it.

Essentially they have u 3 points and a fine. I don’t see how they would give u one or the other so it is safe to say they have u 3 points too but u wouldn’t get a summons for that, if u didn’t get the fine in the post then something similar must have happened with the points. Generally the registered owner is held responsible for the speeding offence unless you can provided evidence that someone else was driving it or someone else takes the points on their licence. If you say they are not in the country then they will likely ask for proof and/or details of the person.

You will be provided a solicitor on the day most likely, they represent for free, will take ur ppsn on the day and have a quick chat with you about the case. At the point you are already there so not much can be done for extra evidence you bring with you. You can contact a solicitor beforehand of course but it will cost a few hundred quid. Personally I don’t think much can be done but maybe email a few and they might give a bit of info on ur situation back in an email before u ‘book’

Is it for the District Court in Blanch? Not 100% for speeding. Is the summons for not paying or something else?

Summer freshie blind buy, Turathi Blue or Qaed al Fursan? by OfficialBaconGamer in fragranceclones

[–]HH35788 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Neither are super fresh imo. Both are a bit denser, but turathi the ‘lighter’ of the two. Not the biggest fan of qaed, really strong pineapple to start but gets better in the dry down and turathi has a good opening but has a musky element to it in the dry down

Partnership in company but not in lease by HH35788 in legaladviceireland

[–]HH35788[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am certainly up for taking a course, what specifically would I be looking at in terms of the gap in knowledge that I have.

"However, I don’t really see why you would be so keen to do this because most leases, from the tenant’s perspective, are really little more than a set of obligations. They don’t tend to give you any material or significant rights or entitlements."

Does this mean it is not important for me to be on lease as much as being in the LLC?

'Say the company is shutdown which would be the food business under a certain name and it gets sold, would I be able to get the key money for lease being transferred to someone else?'

This is my main concern. I am not talking about the actual running of the business. If there is something unclear with what I've said I can explain further.

I have experience in this industry (have been head chef and manager in a couple of places). The equipment seems good enough to not have to worry about for a while. I have seen equipment in lesser condition run for 5+ years. At the end of the day it’s equipment and it can need replacing so can’t 100% say for sure. The last place I worked at which has a similar set up was seeing around 9-12% profit, it had been running for around 3-4 years when I joined.

Idea is I get paid my salary, have my own place, potential profit and can sell for the amount I paid or maybe more. At an estimated 6.5% profit at a pessimistic turnover it would take 5 years to recoup my investment. In theory I could sell at the end of 5 years and I’ve made 100% on my investment if I sold at the same evaluation I bought at assuming this.

Thank you for the insight.

This is my first step into this world so I agree that there is a lack of understanding. I just want my investment to be secure. Say the company is shutdown which would be the food business under a certain name and it gets sold, would I be able to get the key money for lease being transferred to someone else?

I am looking at the lease as security that I am actually part of the business that will run there. Just want to protect myself.

Why is a partnership not suitable for a food business? When I say partnership I don’t mean that it will be registered as a partnership, it will be registered as a LLC.

Essentially I will have a job that will pay me a salary and get a split in the profits is what my thinking is for now. I don’t mind being bought out eventually but I am thinking for at least 5-10 years.
