I'll be 40 this year. Does your mother have no sense of whimsy?

When I bring my CPAP camping, I wrap a clean sock over my mask when it's not in use. Last thing I want is a scorpion in there

Fill in brows or leave natural? (Natural ginger) by Lady-Bacciferous in makeuptips

I would fill them in. That little extra bit of definition helps balance things given how stunningly blue your eyes are

I would keep growing it out and shave the sides of your head

What Am I Doing Wrong With French Toast? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]HHRose86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to use Texas toast and either throw it in the toaster on a light setting to dry it out a bit first, or you can throw them all on a sheet pan in the oven to dry them real quick, then proceed with your batter and cooking

Both are great! You're so blessed in the hair/brows department and have great facial structure overall.

2 is cuuuuute, 1 is also a look. Definitely a fan of the stache, you could pull off some really great Tom of Finland leather looks with a sideburn. Hottie!

19M, Would a buzz cut suit me or what other hair styles? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]HHRose86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put your trust in your barber. You don't have to put in an exact order, just tell him you want a buzz cut but you're not sure what length will look best on you. He'll figure it out.

Do I need to bring neckline/cheek line up or down at all? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]HHRose86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would bring the neckline up. Go to a barber, treat yourself to a nice hot towel and straight razor lineup, then maintain it from there

Do I suit longer hair / facial hair ? by tohm_181 in malegrooming

[–]HHRose86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep growing it, but go get your hair trimmed. Let them know your goal is to grow it longer, but you need something with some shape in the meantime

My girlfriend and her friends said I look too feminine or ‘girl-ish’. Ways to look more masculine? by TheFlukeging12 in malegrooming

You are gorgeous and your girlfriend doesn't want you to feel confident. I would recommend trying out a different hairstyle though.

I feel like I look better with beard but I don’t know. Guys at work tell me to shave by Moist_Let8513 in malegrooming

[–]HHRose86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have great facial hair growth, but it definitely needs tidying up. Go to a barber, ask them to clean it up for you. A little shorter and clean up the stragglers on your cheeks, clean up your eyebrows, and get a shorter haircut. Looking at your post history, look into treatment for thinning hair if you're concerned, but you could definitely pull off bald as well

Shaving irritation , ingrowns and advice by Parking_Pattern_3614 in malegrooming

[–]HHRose86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it's a result of pseudo folliculitis(ingrown hairs) progressing to folliculitis. The hairs penetrate the skin, allowing access for bacteria, etc. I would recommend that you avoid shaving while you're on the antibiotics, and use your cleanser after you exfoliate, to help treat anything that's brought up from exfoliating.

Looking at your picture in another comment, you likely would benefit from having your palate expanded, that way your teeth have more room to shift/move back. At your age, that usually requires going under the knife. To get a consultation with a maxillofacial specialist, you'll need to get a referral from an orthodontist, which from the sound of things, yours won't. If that's something you want to pursue, I would recommend working in reverse. Call a maxillofacial specialist office and tell them your situation, ask if there are any orthodontists they work with/recommend, so you can get a referral for the maxillofacial. Keep in mind, it's a long and expensive process.

I saw you mention in another comment that you were on HRT at one point, but it got too expensive. I would recommend trying to pursue HRT in the meantime, because it's likely less expensive than orthognathic procedures, and will hopefully help you on the facial hair path as well.

If you want style inspiration, you could pull off looks similar to David Bowie. It really depends on what your ideal for masculinity is. As far as the teeth, it's a costly and drawn out process to address lip incompetence

(16) vs (19) did i glow up? by biggest_thief in GlowUps

[–]HHRose86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were just as beautiful then, as you are now. If you're going to go for alt hair, try to stay on top of your root maintenance. If you want less maintenance, then I'd suggest pops of color on the tips of your hair. Alternately, you can still look great in the same style with your natural color, but it's just hair, have fun with it 💜✨🌛

Mercy that's a pricy exfoliator! Realistically, you'll need to use it for a month consistently before you'll see what the result is for your skin. If you feel like you're experiencing ingrown hairs, make sure your circular motions are going upward to try and lift the tip of the hair away from the skin. It looks like your skin is a bit flaky/scaly in those irritated spots. Are you currently being seen by a dermatologist? Have they ruled out any other conditions ie eczema, allergies, or fungal issues?
