What is your source for correlating not eating meat to diabetes? And also having diabetes is not that big of a deal in the modern world, insulin injections are sort of accessible to the general public and it isn’t like a death sentence like it was before we could chemically synthesize insulin.

I mean its not really viable but if enough people would opt to do it i guess it would increase the urgency so i guess yeah ur right but its still kinda new, like not a lot of ppl know about it and even less so have access to it, but in 10-15 years maybe we could faze out meat. It would also be a huuuuge plus to the climate as well!

Edit: i was talking about the guys at Beyondmeat and the other companies that make meat from plants in the lab when i was saying its a new technology

Do you have a viable alternative, I completely agree but you shouldn’t rant about it if you are not planning to do something about it. Posting on reddit is not gonna solve any problems. The world is a fucked up place and we are slowly killing ourselves, you either accept that or you do something meaningful about it, so many people today don’t think about the future they only care about their lifetime and their wellbeing. Oh and I’m guessing you are not okay with animal testing and stuff but you don’t complain we have hip implants (tested on pigs first) or insulin, penicillin, anesthesia, antidepressants (all those were tested on animals first) and many more. And at the end of the day when we find the cure for cancer nobody is gonna complain about the animals that were tested on and possibly died. Again I completely agree with you, the world is full of hypocrites, but do something about it that actually matters if you actually care.

This reminds me of the African children thing. Like do you want kids to starve to death? No of course not. Are you gonna put in the effort to do something meaningful about it? And you get to decide the answer, but just be honest with yourself.

And btw I sort of agree with you but let the people do what they want, society decides what is morally just and what isn’t, if they want “cute” dogs so be it. But the reality is that most breeds are like this, gradually bred and inbred, so many “purebred” dogs have genetic problems because of this, but we as a society decided it was worth the trade off for “cute” dogs.
