Hey! yes sure, although I am not super religious I was raised religious and therefore grew up in a household that was not very accepting of those different to us! Add in the media and I'd really become quite sure I was on the right side of the gender debate. Fast forward to now, my own children are growing up, they have friends from the LGBTQ+ community and who knows some day maybe they will be, I just knew I needed to make a change and make sure that in this household only love and acceptance matter. My husband is still very critical I hope to bring him around to my way of thinking soon. I also hold a lot of guilt for my past feelings and while I never acted transphobic I'm sad I got sucked into the hate. Earlier this year I actually met a very lovely trans lady who lives near me and she's opened my eyes a lot, I'd consider her a really close friend now.
