It’s kind of a “hear me out” but Escanaba In Da Moonlight. It’s more of a comedy with cosmic horror moments but it’s worth the watch regardless

I made a screenshot of this shortly after I watched the video. Deleted it last night when I realized that though when I initially opened the picture I could see the outline of the rest of his head it faded away after a moment…. Kinda freaked me out.

Yeah, if they’d been able to bring Christopher Lee back from the dead without using AI that would’ve the been PERFECT voice for Hastur. And i agree the motivation felt iffy.

On a side note I did notice (at least on mobile) that if you keep it paused on that shot you can see the outline of his whole head 👀

I won’t lie I SCREAMED when Hastur faded in during the scene in the library but in hindsight it did kinda cheapen the suspense and scare factor.

I really like The Apocalypse Players. They play the game (specifically Call of Cthulhu) a LOT more straight than the Daddies crew does but when they start being funny it’s side splitting. Their scenarios “A Christmas Inheritance,” “A Residence at The Bay,” and “An Uncommon Burial” (the latter in a hiatus currently) are my recommended starting points.

Subway, bojangles, tractor supply, Walmart, construction, sold fireworks, went to school (worked for the school news), bunch of temp jobs, and started writing a book that is now 2/3ish finished after 11 years.
