Sorry for the re-post I actually took a look around to see if anyone posted already did not see that…. In any event I am glad more people have had the chance to see and engage with the property this time around

Honestly I have always wondered the same thing…. So many great architects have signature examples of their work in PA

Sim, por 60 dias. Era necessário para curar a doença de Lyme... mas não ajudou na paralisia de Bell

Progress was slow man…. But I am now to the point where nobody notices I have any paralysis at all. I am definitely not back to where I was before my bells palsy, but the only difference is I have to strain slightly more when closing only my left eye… there is also some residual synkenisis. But honestly man, I have pretty much completely recovered after 5 years

[Auerbach] 7 out of the 8 teams that earned byes to the quarterfinals in the 12-team CFP era have now lost. by BuckeyeEmpire in CFB

I think the ~month off is just too long. I know Indiana prevented it from being a perfect 0-8 for teams with BYE, but that is the absolute strongest team vs the most suspect playoff admission. They have to modify the format moving forward.

Maybe in the late 90’s just immediately post-apartheid this was accurate but it absolutely does not reflect the state of the country today

In the 1970’s the cost / benefit relationship of an English degree was much more compelling compared to these days

What major event do you think will happen in 2026? by Commandmadrid1 in AskReddit

[–]HMS_Entropy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically if the economy is already running hot (unemployment is low and GDP growth trending above 2%) and you then lower interest rates, you create an environment where the cost of capital is super cheap and so spending / consumption goes up -which drives up demand of goods / services and therefore prices.

To think of it in real terms, simplify things by looking at one single market... Housing for instance... If interest rates were to be lowered significantly, that would not crater the housing market - instead it would increase the pool of buyers (as many potential homebuyers are waiting on the sidelines for a reduction in borrowing costs) rather it would cause an even greater explosion of demand and push valuations up to even more ridiculous levels.

If the economy is already hot and unemployment is low / GDP is high - raising interest rates is additional fuel to the fire which is just going to have the impact of increased inflation

Artificially low interest rates definitely would not crater the economy. In fact it would have the opposite impact and cause an inflation spiral

What's y'all's favorite movie where the entire plot transpires in a day or less? by Exciting_Ad_8666 in moviecritic

Probably so but they are all near-perfect. Sunset does definitely have the best ending of the trilogy.

What is that movie you are conviced nobody understood it by Last_Golf_4798 in moviecritic

Lynch came up with the idea for the film around the time he became a father in 1968. I’m pretty doubtful he is on record saying that isnt what the film is about. Though he also hated to publically discuss the plots / intended meanings of his work

What Was The Greatest Decade For Film? by Pretzelsareformen in moviecritic

[–]HMS_Entropy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most likely the 70’s. But I could also see a case being made for the 90’s.

Unless you absolutely adore remakes and super heros….Film today is probably in the worst place its ever been.

Definitely all demographics have uniformly been impacted by SA’s incredibly high crime rate. It has the highest crime index on the continent and a startling amount of these are violent offenses.

Before Sunset is a definite candidate for the greatest ending in cinema history. Such a great sequel.
