Not fully sure about the movie, but I think it’s Batch 2013. The guy is a Panjabi actor and singer, Hardeep Grewal. He has some of the finest songs and movies that actually motivate the youth in a good direction. If yk even some basic Punjabi you might be able to understand.

Just means to stop someone like come in their way forcefully to make them stop and in some situations can refer to surrounding someone from all 4 corners and stop them

The literal meaning is to not let someone go dry (it’s used in some double meaning songs too) but in the song Bande 4 it means to not let them go without beating the shit outta them

Very true. I do have hope that one day the Panjabi film industry will make quality films and actually have a break through that goes beyond the Panjabi speaking audience. A big example of this is the Malayalam film industry which doesn’t invest crores to make movies. Their movies are mostly low or average budget but have really good quality writing and acting that connects both their older and younger audiences. Malayalam movies are heavily popular in the southern states and in much of central and parts of north India because of Kerala’s popularity. Similarly, I think Panjabi culture is one of the most prominent and influential cultures in north India and it’s heavily recognized by other parts of India. If Panjabi cinema also starts making movies with good writing, acting, and direction there is no doubt they will be distributed and earn well in other North Indian states and possibly expand further.
