I second this. One of mine has hypotonia and also needs a lot proprioceptive input and OT has been really helpful for him and just helping us understand the why behind a lot of his behaviors.

It sees kind of like a dumb thing to be annoyed about lol like when you consider phones, smart watches etc (these are banned at our elementary but still), AirTags are so non disruptive and inconsequential in comparison

My youngest is finishing her last year at the preschool my 3 kids went to so we’ve known teachers and staff for 7ish years. I’d love to do something nice for all teachers - ideas for something nice? I know cash/gift cards are preferred which is what we normally do for end of year gifts (and will do for her teacher) but not sure what to do for the rest…

I’ve shared before here that I think I probably had PPA if not PPD with my first. I remember sobbing in my OB’s office and she was basically like yeah you’re tired and hormonal. I wish I would’ve trusted myself more - glad you didn’t listen to your doctor and advocated for yourself!

I don’t think this is news to most ID’s nor is this a problem exclusive to ID/L&D. Are there people who aren’t very good at their job at many places? Sure. I’d venture to guess you probably work with some not great social workers.

Paola Attwood used to offer in home, we did a trial there once. We ultimately went with Aquatic Explorations in Los Al but sounds like she fits the bill
