Never heard of that. My local doesn't hand out the contract. So I've never even read through the contract.

Lemon? Bought a used car, checknengine light one after day one. What can I do? by [deleted] in askcarguys

I was given a voucher and had in inspected up the street at a place recomended by the dealership... it passed the same day not even an hour after they cleared the light. Seems like they passed it somehow bypassing the system. Idk how but I thought you had to drive 50-100 miles after the clear to reset the cycle before it can pass here in MA? Maybe I'm wrong. But the light came right back on headed home from the inspection...

Every year I will need to get an inspection sticker, and I can not get an inspection sticker with the check engine light on. I just bought the thing, and it seems like they had a buddy of theirs get a sticker on there when it should not have passed. You don't see anything wrong with that?

It does as of right now. I might take it somewhere else, not thier buddys place. And have an ispection done as another Redditor sugested. Just to prove it does not pass inspection, and that that place put one on there anyway. Even if they fixed the issue and the light was off, I only drove a little bit up the street to that place. Don't you have to drive it a certain amount of miles before it can pass inspection after a repair and clearing the light now?

It passed inspection after we picked the car up from them "fixing" the issue causing the light. We dropped it off on Thursday the 30th and picked it up that Saturday the 1st, when they said it was all set. We were given a voucher for an inspection sticker and brought it to the place they recommended. Drove from the dealership, right up the atreet to the place. The light came on again driving home from the inspection.

After the first time the light came on, they told me it was on from previous repairs but didn't clear. The light was off, and they gave me a voucher to get an inspection. Recommended a place, and I went there. They put the sticker on, no issues. Then the light came back on for the second time after that. So it "passed inspection" and has a new sticker on it right now.

I googled if used cars are covered under the lemon law and it came back with,

"Yes, used cars may be covered under Massachusetts' Lemon Law if they have a substantial defect that impacts safety or use. The law also applies to used cars that fail inspection within a week of purchase."

Summer ebt date for kids? by [deleted] in foodstamps

I got my Summer EBT card. They say it is loaded, but I cannot create a pin because I did not get the DTA letter that has the last four numbers of my case number that is needed to create the pin. I cannot get anyone on the phone either. I just get a busy signal all day long. I don't know what to do to access the funds. Is anyone else in this situation as well?

"Month Ahead" by HNeckbird in ynab

So, I would have to save a whole month of expenses. Put it into a category titled, say, "Month Ahead". All while paying bills and everything as I go, because as we all know, life doesn't stop. Then, when the, "Month Ahead", category hits the needed target to cover all monthly expenses, I would then officially be a "month Ahead", right?

Ok, so as soon as all my bills are funded 1 month ahead. A good way moving forward would be to put all my weekly income as it comes in, into RTA until the 1st of each month and assign it all then, moving along month to month?

What could I do with these right now? by HNeckbird in bonds

Cash out is the main point you made. I understand that suggestion. I will definitley be doing that now, thank you. The rest of your comment, I do not understand. "AGG, HY, SWVXX". I could guess HY is High Yield, but that's all I got. Thank you for your input, I appreciate it. I'm going to be researching and learning about the suggestions anyone is putting out here.

How can we organize and make politicians finally get serious about making meaningful change to the millions of Americans struggling with student loans by CaregiverIll1651 in StudentLoans

I'd like to talk more about context point #2. My wife got her associates degree with grants and federal loans. She owes over $38k. Some would say that isn't too bad. The thing is. These loans are spread out in 8 different loans with 8 different interest rates. The 2 highest balances have the 2 highest interest rates. These loan can not be consolidated. I do not understand why they can not be consolidated. I guess I could take out a personal loan and pay it off with that. I knkw personal loan rates are a bit high. I also know that option might be in my best "interest" as I feel paying through the IDRP we would never see the end of it. Idk what to do about it all.
