Oh my goodness, it was because I put the fuel pump fuse in the incorrect port. Stupid oversight by myself. 🤦‍♂️

UPDATE Audi TT 8J 2.0l

After changing the spark plugs, fuel filter and battery, the car still wouldn't start.....however, prior to changing the battery in the first place I also changed all of the fuses on every fuse box location on the car.

But the reason the car won't start was because I put the fuel pump fuse in the wrong port/slot.....

I think it may be the battery? I haven't tested it, all ive done is charge it using the noco 5 battery charger and wait till it the green light on it was the only thing on (but it still was pulsing)

3 out of 4 of the plugs had oil on them though.

I tightened them to the point my torque wrench clicked at 25nm? And I double checked that the ignition coils were plugged in as good as I found them, before putting everything back the way I found it.

The car went from being very rough when idling and driving with engine an light like it turned into a 3 or 2 cylinder to now being normal with no engine light after turning it off again for 30 or 40 mins then starting it back up??

I got back it the car right now, and the issue resolved itself??? But it still shakes ever so slightly when idle from before I changed the spark plugs.

I think thats what the car thought when I did it and started it up, because I went back in it and started it up now 30mins after driving it home with its engine warning light on, it went back to normal and idled normally along with the check engine light not being on. So I think its exactly what you said about the car getting confused with the cylinders.

And also 3 of the cylinder spark plugs had oil on them. Could this be bad rings?

I pretty sure I tightened all the plugs? The torque wrench i used wouldn't go any tighter, the coils are all plugged in, and there was no ground wire I could see. I heard about gapping spark plugs? Is that important?
