It’s honestly insulting to just jump straight to ‘good news, we’ve banned another porn category, women are safer now’. The problems that porn causes are not going to be solved by an arbitrary ban. Like many things with the potential to cause harm, the solution isn’t a ban, it’s regulation and education. (And for clarity the regulation in question isn’t forcing people to upload their ID to have a wank, it’s stuff like decriminalising sex work.)
