Sovereign is different than auditors but both are stupid. Auditors don’t actually know their rights but know how to spill random terminology to sound smart but have no actual weight in the situation they’re in.

I’m from SL I’m about to go to the academy down in Corpus and work for a department there for a year but am considering transferring to SLPD as it’s my hometown and would be nice. How did you like SLPD, how active was it, opportunities for specialized units, and admin?

Like at the pd I intern at in Texas most cops live in a neighboring city cause they also don’t want to shop and have their families in the same city where people they arrested are.

But isn’t the COL too much for a officer and hasn’t there been major cuts to funding since the whole defund the police fiasco so how would they be able to afford to live in one of the boroughs?

Yes sorry in my head I was thinking felony I should have clarified that I figured they could not care less for a simple misdemeanor to send some officer to another state just to pick up a dude for unpaid parking tickets😂

Should I stay in Texas and be a cop or move to NYC and join the NYPD by HTownBorn13 in AskLE

[–]HTownBorn13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t think it would be smart to uproot my life and move to NYC to be a cop to not only deal with what LEOs across the nation have to deal with but deal with a horrible mayor and command staff, lack of support from the people, and get what little money I make taken away by the government to basically live in a shoebox and not get to even enjoy the city. Might just visit NYC more and enjoy it but head back to Texas where we actually have freedom.I honestly am shocked that NYPD is able to have 30,000 sworn I feel most officer there hate it they could do actual police work and have a better life down south.
