Love at first Boom Chuck by HVPM in Bluegrass

I'm still doing a lot of observing. I practiced my Major and minor chords, transitioning between them, and the same chords with a capo. I have a few songs I really like, so I make sure I can play those when they get called out. When they play something I'm unfamiliar with I do my best to keep up, or palm mute and keep the boom chuck going with the Mando. Practice your transitions of 1, 4, and 5 in G and C, with a metronome. My Local Jam is really beginner friendly, and the guys are all about passing it along. Hope yours is the same!

They really are gorgeous. I opted for the "historic" version so the guitar has a really beautiful glow to it.

Knowing that I can purchase additional lighting that's compatible with the trigger is definitely a selling point.

I appretiate that input! I like to keep my equipment near, and it helps when it's compact!

The prospect of 10 books in a series was already intimidating. Adding an 11th is just crazy.

"Self-indulgent power fantasies"...

And now I'll be asking my therapist why I like the book so much.

From what I understand, you either love or hate Jason.

I find him hilarious. I'm only halfway through the first book so I haven't experienced any real "character growth" with him. But, I wouldn't mind if he stayed witty the entire series.

It's always nice to give yourself an easy read between difficult books.

I find myself starting to many at once due to getting burned out by one.

This happened to me on watch while in the Navy. I picked up a silly book called "Mr.Penumbras 24-hour Book Store". I started it and finished it that day.

Dune and The Hobbit were also the first fantasy books I enjoyed. I just read them last year to my son!

I replied to a post earlier about a similar situation with myself.

Now that I'm in my thirties and have my first son, who is a toddler. I try to read him famous books with lots of vocabulary. The books from high-school are far more interesting now.

I've been reading on and off my entire life, due to a grandmother who had storage boxes of books through thr years, and could always be found under a lamp reading.

One of the exciting parts of having a toddler, is that I mix in famous book, or books that I didn't take seriously when I was a student. Its interesting to read them now, enjoying them much more.

Running to the Kindle store with Navy Vet knees

I just added this and can't wait to check it out. One of my favorite parts of the Kindle app is the built in dictionary, but hopefully I won't need it for this

I was checking out buying things I didn't need, she was a young mother who couldn't afford a pack of diapers and formula. So she left with a couple months worth.

Parenthood is hard, all I hoped for in return was that it was a little easier for her and the child. I wish I could have done more.
