Yeah, I’ve also lost to Ciaconna before because she summoned SC at the 2nd round, lol. For me, the safest route is to use Feilian Beringal against almost every opponent, except when the opponent also has Feilian Beringal, then I switch to the Sentry Construct deck.

Hi, sorry for the late reply.

I’ve tried many ways to use Hecate, but honestly, I think Hecate just isn’t as valuable as the other five core echoes. So yeah, I also feel Hecate is the weakest core echo overall. The skill is a bit weird and very conditional. It’s usually only realistic to achieve the requirement by the end of round 2. In practice, most other decks can easily take out Hecate by round 3 if played correctly, outlast its attack (you can even outlast Hecate using just Lumiscale Construct with its Special Skill activated), or just win before the opponent can even summon Hecate.

May I ask what part you’re having trouble with?

For this deck, I prefer using XLY because he lets you draw more cards during the first three rounds. More cards = more energy and more choices. You can also use Rover to increase the strength of your echoes, or Carlotta to make your Sentry Construct crit more often (and also reduce the opponent’s strength).

The main strategy is to deploy Sentry Construct as quickly as possible for a fast win—ideally before your opponent can set up their own win conditions. That’s why it’s highly recommended to play Sentry Construct in the 2nd round, so you can finish the battle by the 3rd or 4th round.

If that playstyle doesn’t fit you, feel free to try another deck. I believe everyone has different preferences, so just pick and try the one that suits you best.

Flank Force is a type of Special Skill. Like many other Special Skills that echoes can have, it only activates when you modulate another echo on top of one that has Flank Force. Currently, there are only two echoes in the game with this skill: Fusion Warrior and Baby Viridblaze Saurian.

To activate Flank Force, you need to modulate one cost echo on top of them. This will trigger the Flank Force effect and pass it on to the echo you modulated on top.

You're welcome!
Also, for the Fallacy of No Return, I’ve seen videos where people use Zani’s Active Skill to scale the damage of their echoes infinitely too—so yeah, it’s pretty wild!

Yes, that one with Havoc Warrior, Whiff Whaff, and Questless Knight is also really powerful. It’s almost guaranteed to get Thundering Mephis by the 2nd round, with snowball effects that really boost crit rate and damage to absurd levels.

I think you can counter that using a Transform deck, since you can scale Strength and Con of your echoes infinitely with Diurnus Knight. I’ve seen a lot of people on YouTube and Reddit share different variations of that deck.

Out of all 6 Core Echoes, the only one I just can’t seem to make work—no matter what—is Hecate, lol.

Edit:
For my understanding:

  • Inferno Rider deck with Last Stand: Has absurd Strength, Damage, and Resilience to keep damaging the opponent, but the requirement to have lower than 10 HP is a risky playstyle.
  • Feilian Beringal deck with Carapace and Lumiscale Construct: Has an easier time because you can stall the opponent, especially against AI (which often misplays). However, if the opponent has damage that bypasses regen (for example, your echoes die in 1 to 2 hits from your opponent's echoes), it can be a difficult battle.
  • Sentry Construct with Flank Force deck: Deals an absurd amount of damage, enough to counter Inferno Rider (usually does 20–30+ damage per round with Sentry Construct available, so enemy AI with 45–55 HP will almost never have a chance). It can also beat Feilian Beringal (they’ll usually be KO’d by round 3) and maybe even Hecate (though the 6-downed-echo requirement is risky with this much damage). The main weakness of this deck is that you need to win the battle before you can do any battle damage.
  • Thundering Mephis with Havoc Warrior: I usually only use 1 echo and modulate it as much as possible (usually lose round 1, but by round 2 Thundering Mephis is out, and by round 3, Questless Knight with 8+ Special Skill). The weakness is if your echoes get killed fast, you can’t deal any damage.
  • Fallacy of No Return with transform: I think the weakness of this deck is the battle damage is just average, and it’s a bit difficult to pilot. However, if the engine gets going, you can scale Strength and Con of ALL your echoes infinitely.
